[TALKING POINT] The precursor to the National Dialogue a two-day National Convention will start today on UNISA's main campus in Pretoria. The first public engagement of the National Dialogue, is to outline and agree on the key themes of the National Dialogue. But the Dialogue has sparked debate, with critics questioning the selection of participants and deeming it as a politically engineered deception to mask the catastrophic failures of Ramaphosa's administration.

***We are asking -Will you be participating in the National Dialogue and what should be top of the agenda?

[TALKING POINT] Tensions are high in Germiston, where evictions at council flats have sparked protests and accusations of municipal negligence. The Forum of South Africans (FOSA) has condemned the torching of Home Affairs offices and illegal occupations but points the finger at Ekurhuleni Municipality for allowing the crisis to escalate. FOSA claims corrupt municipal officials enabled illegal occupants to reside in the flats for over a decade, only for them to now face eviction for non-payment or unlawful tenancy.

***We are asking -Where do we draw the distinction between "illegal foreigners" and "poor South Africans" occupying municipal flats and how do we address the issue of illegal occupations and ensure proper allocation of council flats?
