[TALKING POINT] Some are calling it South Africa's Golden Era of sports. Banyana Banyana took a step closer to defending their CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations title, beating Senegal in a tough quarter-final to reach the semi-finals.

South African teams currently hold the men’s world titles at U20 level, with the Junior Boks defeating New Zealand 23-15 in the World Championship final in Rovigo, Italy.

At senior level, the Springboks are back-to-back world champions—both in 15s and in the sevens format.

***We are asking - Are you of the view that this is South Africa's GOLDEN ERA of sports?

[TALKING POINT] Tabling the budget vote of the Presidency in Parliament, President Cyril Ramaphosa said it is unconceivable to take a decision on untested allegations without a comprehensive investigation. He said this includes the call for him to fire the Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, with immediate effect. The President defended his decision to form a judicial commission to investigate claims by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, who alleged that Police Minister Senzo Mchunu has ties to criminal syndicates and that senior police officials are also involved in crime.

***We are asking - Do you concur with President Cyril Ramaphosa that it is unconceivable to take a decision on untested allegations without a comprehensive investigation?
