Looking for an easy, nourishing first food idea for your little one? This Cheesy Cauliflower recipe by nutribullet SA is a delicious and simple way to introduce veggies.

Cauliflower is rich in fibre and vitamins C and K and paired with a bit of cheddar cheese, it becomes a creamy purée little ones will love. When your baby is ready for a heartier meal, try mixing it with soft noodles for a homemade mac and cheese twist.

Ingredients:
• 2 cups chopped cauliflower
• ½ cup cheddar cheese

WINTER MAGIC AT KIRSTENBOSCH🌿
Now until 21 July 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘!

School holidays just got a whole lot more magical. From nature walks and drumming sessions to pot-a-plant fun, rock painting, and Peter Rabbit book readings, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is turning into a winter wonderland for curious young minds.

Expect adventure walks with free hot chocolate, craft corners, scavenger hunts, creative workshops, drumming, marimbas, sand art, book readings and more. While the kids explore, parents can unwind with a meal at Moyo, Fynkos or Vida e Caffè.

Guided walks are open to children aged 6 to 17, and workshops are designed for ages 7 to 14. Activities run daily, but booking is essential for walks, workshops and dining. Free entry for children under 18 is available online or at the gate.

Ever wondered when your baby might start talking?

Language development is a fascinating journey that begins long before the first words are spoken. From cooing and babbling to waving and pointing, babies are constantly learning how to communicate, even when no words are spoken.

It’s not about how much time you have, it’s how you spend it. Children won’t remember the hours, they will remember how you made them feel. In the rush of daily life, the most powerful moments are often the simplest ones. A story told with energy, a walk that turns into a conversation, or cooking a meal together can leave a lasting imprint.

Quality time fosters emotional security, promotes open communication, and helps children feel genuinely seen. It doesn’t have to be big or perfectly planned. A few focused minutes, where you have their full attention, can be all that's needed.

A naturally sweet and creamy way to introduce dairy to your baby’s diet. Instead of flavoured yoghurts, choose plain yoghurt and add mashed or puréed berries for a pop of colour and flavour, plus added fibre and nutrients. For an extra nutritional boost, stir in a pinch of chia seeds rich in iron and omega-3s.

𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (6 servings)
1 cup full-cream plain yoghurt
3/4 cup frozen mixed berries
1/4 cup frozen banana
1 tbsp Chia Seeds

𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
1. Add all ingredients to the work bowl of your Nutribullet Baby Blender in the order listed.
2. Turn the dial to the Blend/Pulse setting and run the blending program for 2 full intervals.
