Knowledge Café Report 2025

Dear Members,

CMASA hosted the third Knowledge Café at the CMASA Annual Conference.

A knowledge café is a method of sharing knowledge and experiences surrounding a specific topic.

Across three café themes – Teeing Off Against Tradition, Cash Flow, and Strategy 101 – delegates converged on a common thread: clubs thrive when they modernise rules and culture, lock down cash discipline and working-capital hygiene, and align boards, committees, and management behind a simple, measurable plan. The most repeated remedies were constitution and policy refreshes, budgeting and credit control basics, member induction and communication, and clear authority lines to curb micromanagement.
