We grew up like sisters. Same school, same church, even shared clothes. When I got married, she was my maid of honor. I trusted her more than my own blood.

But I started noticing little things how she’d laugh too loud at his jokes, how my husband would always offer her a lift even when she wasn’t going our way. I told myself I was just paranoid. Until one night, he didn’t come home.
