Hey homesteaders...
Time is going by so quickly. We still haven't planted anything for this season.
All our poultry is so broody right now. Mrs Turkey has started laying as well. The Elderberry tree is flowering and I can't wait for the fruit!
2 of our quackers have officially moved over into our orchard and even laying her eggs there. I don't want more quackers now. I really shouldn't be having any more geese neither but oh my hat I'm such a sucker for baby animals!

It's been so long since my last update and so much has happened.
But here's one so long for you!
One of our geese ladies are laying eggs!
And they are huge! Last night there was 4, I dare not to look again as she is very aggressive with me at the moment. Franz had to feed them so he can quickly run to the nest to check it out for me hehehe!

Made us some amazing home made sausage rolls. Garlic and parsley from the garden, egg from my mallard duck, made the sausage mixture myself and used store bought puff pastry! I know, I should have made my own, but I didn't have time this morning. Franz isn't feeling well so I just wanted to get breakfast done.

I think I did washing last week Sunday or Monday. Due to the cold air every day we miss the window of where it's just right to take off because it's gotten wet again.
It's finally off.

My bantams are laying really well again. They love to lay under the straw bale.
We are not complaining. Yesterday I went to checkers that recently opened here by us and I nearly fell on my back when I saw the price of eggs. We haven't bought eggs in forever.
Honestly I can't go back to that.
Bought some olive oil yesterday. We have so much basil I'm going to make a basil pesto for us. Feeling cool, might make us a mint pesto as well!😉🧙🏼🧙🏻‍♀️
