One of the greatest problem in African Christianity is that we love building doctrine on experience which is very subjective. We want to come up with a teaching based on a personal encounter we had and build a doctrine which everyone should be subjected to. We want people to understand God based on our experience or other people's experience. The danger with this approach is that it is short lived. True doctrine is coming into terms with the truth that the ultimate source of salvation is CHRIST, believing in what he did on the cross of Calvary for you. We need to teach Christ and not our experience, people should be pointed towards the finished work of Christ and not our experience . John 3:16 .....who so ever believes in him(CHRIST )should not perish but have everlasting life..... Christ is the only way
