Born on October 28, 1989, in Zambia, Timbwama Chisenga, popularly known as Tim, and formerly Tim Thugga, is one of a leading figure in Zambian hip-hop and gospel music.
Rising to fame as a member of Zone Fam, one of Zambia’s pioneering hip-hop groups, Tim played a pivotal role in popularizing Zambian rap. His versatile flow and introspective lyrics quickly earned him respect in the music industry and a strong fan base.
In 2015, Tim announced a significant shift in his career, dedicating his music to his faith, a journey he has since continued with notable projects like his single "Heartbeat" which is greatly loved by his fans and sung lyric by lyric each time his performing it.
On November 9, 2023, Tim launched his latest solo album, Sonder, which showcases his signature lyrical depth and a fresh gospel sound. Collaborating with prominent Zambian artists like MC Wabwino, James Sakala, Pompi, Esther Chungu, Emily Hakoola, Chef 187, and Abel Chungu among others.
In the album, Tim explored themes of faith, resilience, and introspection across a 21-track album. His ability to reinvent himself, staying true to his faith while delivering impactful music, has solidified his status as a transformative artist in Zambia’s music scene and one of the greatest in the Hip Hop industry.
