Those days they used to leave me home with my niece. So I got her a small karate gi and I'd make sure after I feed, bath, and change her we'd go into a karate session. I'd stretch her into the splits and she used to enjoy it. She is now a big girl. This pic was I think 10 or 9 years ago at our home in mongu. In health, a small symptom; unusual discharge, pain, sores, may seem minor, but it can signal a bigger battle inside. Early testing is like correcting your stance early: it prevents future defeat. When we were younger and only focused only on karate we had six packs too before we gained weight and became fat πŸ˜…πŸ˜….. that was a good number of years ago though. Anyway, that's how life is. Priorities get to change with emergence of other responsibilities. Otherwise, I'm not weak.. the six pack is just buried beneath the fat body πŸ˜…πŸ₯‹πŸ’ͺ🏼 ossu πŸ™πŸΌπŸ₯‹

This was me with senpai Enock Namabunga when we were still training under Senanga Dojo many years ago when I was still very small. Another tip of flexibility from my own experience in my training and also in helping others get flexible: please drop the nonsense you read online that says stretching is not supposed to hurt.. it must actually hurt but what to keep in mind is the extent of the pain. It's not supposed to cause severe pain to a point of distress, no, but painful enough to go beyond your own stretching comfort zone but not beyond your pain threshold. If you only play around the stretching limits of not experiencing any pain, trust me you'll need to forget about flexibility.. ossu πŸ™πŸΌπŸ₯‹with senpai Mwila Aaron Olah..

One mistake that causes most people to fail to achieve full splits in their flexibility training is that they only stretch the legs and waist. For as long as you are too focused on the legs it will be very difficult for you to achieve full splits. For the body to adapt and loosen up your muscles, it takes stretching the whole body as a whole and some focus areas which causes the brain to effect a systemic response which now enables you to start splitting. What I'm saying is, don't just stretch your legs.. stretch your neck, shoulders, arms, fingers, back (especially the lower back), hips, legs (quadriceps, hamstrings, abductors, adductors, calves).. you can never do splits with a stiff back.
