FIND YOUR JOY IN GIVING
Good morning friends! As we move through today, let’s reflect on the joy that comes from giving. Whether it’s our time, resources, or encouragement, giving is a powerful way to reflect God’s love and make a difference in the lives of others.
Acts 20:35 reminds us of Jesus’s words: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." This simple yet profound truth highlights the deep joy and fulfillment that come from generosity. When we give freely and cheerfully, we’re not just meeting the needs of others; we’re also nurturing our own spirits and experiencing the blessings that come from living selflessly.
Think of a candle lighting another candle. The first candle loses nothing by sharing its flame; in fact, it brings more light into the room. Similarly, when we give to others, we’re not diminished but enriched. Our generosity has the potential to brighten someone else’s day, offer hope, or provide for a need, all while filling our hearts with joy.
Today, seek out opportunities to give. Whether it’s helping someone in need, sharing a word of encouragement, or simply being generous with your time, let your actions be guided by a spirit of giving. Remember that each act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a significant impact. As you give, you’ll discover the true joy and blessing that come from living generously, reflecting God’s abundant love to those around you.
