A boat carrying over 14.13 million Liberian dollars worth of goods has caught fire upon arrival in Greenville from Buchanan Grand Bassa County.

Hungry Lion Chilanga closed for containing faeces!

Chilanga Town Council has temporarily shut down the Hungry Lion outlet in Chilanga following public health inspections conducted on February 4, 2025.

Council Public Relations Officer Luayando Sikazwe confirmed that food and water samples collected from the restaurant were analyzed by the UTH Food and Drugs Laboratory, which revealed f***l contamination in the water used for food preparation. Additionally, tests detected Staphylococcus aureus in cooked chicken, indicating food contamination.

“In light of these findings and in the interest of public health and safety, the outlet will remain closed until a proper water treatment system is installed and subsequent laboratory tests confirm that the water is safe,” Sikazwe said.

The local authority has urged the public to take note of the closure and assured consumers that strict measures are being enforced to protect public health.
