ZESCO UNITED MEDIA – THE ONE-WOMAN ARMY WHO MADE IT TO THE PODIUM
One of the nominees for Best Club Media Team of the Season was none other than ZESCO United, and what makes this special is that — behind that media coverage — stood one woman doing it all. No team. No crew. Just Verita.
If you’ve been around stadiums and actually observe things beyond just the final whistle, then you’ve probably seen her at work — camera in hand one minute, pitch-side interview the next, dashing across the stands to grab the perfect shot, and still finding time to post live updates like she had four hands.
It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t polished with big-budget equipment. But what it lacked in tools, it made up for with passion, grit, and pure determination. Every weekend, she showed up, carried the ZESCO media brand on her shoulders, and reminded us what hustle really looks like.
And so when we saw her name pop up on the shortlist for Best Media Team — we weren’t shocked. We were proud.
The award eventually went to the brilliant NAPSA Stars duo (well deserved), but Verita’s nomination was a win in itself. It said: "We see you. We respect the grind. And your work matters."
So today, grab your flowers, Verita. Because even when you thought nobody noticed — we did. You may not have taken the trophy home, but you’ve taken something bigger: respect.
