It's been MOOOONTHS here, sort of feels like a year.
I must admit that I intentionally haven't been writing here. I decided to put all my thoughts into audio. Still a path I am constantly improving on but I feel it's a better way to communicate.

Not soon, but my desire and wish is to one day get back to writing here, on this space whenever time allows.

To follow the audio content, kindly follow The Jaded Podcast ,I hope you find the stuff awesome. The love and learning doesn't stop here, it gets bigger.

Let me tell you a little story. Last year, I achieved something I’d been working on for months—a personal goal that meant so much to me. But instead of taking a moment to sit back and celebrate, I brushed it off and went straight into planning the next big thing. It was only later, during a random conversation with a friend, that it hit me: I had done something worth celebrating, but I let it slide. Why? Because I thought, “It’s not that big of a deal.”

That mindset robs us of joy. I’ve come to learn that celebrating even the smallest wins is what keeps the fire alive. It reminds you of how capable you are and fuels your ambition for the next step. Maybe your win is waking up earlier today, completing that task you’ve been procrastinating on, or simply surviving a tough week. Whatever it is, celebrate it. Don’t let anyone make you feel small for taking pride in what you’ve achieved, big or small, every win matters.

Celebrate yourself. Celebrate the journey. And never forget that small steps lead to big leaps.

You know, I came across this video where a lady said, "If you're truly working on yourself, you need to know what triggers you." It got me thinking about how self-care is more than just treating yourself it’s about protecting your peace, you can only protect something from harm if you know exactly what 'kind of harm' it may be exposedto and in what form.
There’s another video I watched about staying composed in tough situations, and that reminded me of how important it is to know what triggers you and make sure not to feed that trigger. You fan the wrong flames when you feed things that are meant to break you. Know your triggers and protect your heart.

Here’s what I’ve learned: self-care is about guarding your heart and mind. Not everything deserves your energy. Be intentional about what you let in because it shapes your life. Filter, protect, and value your peace, it’s the best gift you can give yourself.

The uncomfortable truth is that growth in any area of life, particularly in our career, is directly tied to our willingness to learn and adapt. It’s about staying curious and open to change. Every day brings new methods, trends, and opportunities. What works today might be obsolete tomorrow.

Friends, let us deliberately expose ourselves to new knowledge, immerse yourself in our fields, and understand that growth requires continuous evolution. It doesn’t happen in stagnation, it happens when you actively seek to learn more and do more. We are only as good as what we expose ourselves to.

Some mornings you just wake up and you badly want to complain. That was me this morning. But then I remembered, there’s someone out there wishing for the very things I’m taking for granted. Gratitude doesn’t just shift your perspective; it fills your heart with peace and contentment. There's everything to be grateful for, there's everything to live for. We get so carried in our worries that we forget to just pause and think of the little things.

We focus so much on what we lack that we forget to appreciate what we already have. Whatever your mood or circumstances today, pause and give thanks. It could be worse. Trust that God will never expose you to something you cannot handle. Look around, there is always something to be grateful for.

Also, be kind today. Just be kind. Be kind to yourself.

Throughout most of my life, I didn’t truly value the relationships I had, especially platonic ones. Many of us tend to elevate romantic relationships while forgetting the bonds we share with family and friends. But over time, I’ve learned that real joy comes from nurturing these connections, showing up, respecting boundaries, and reciprocating the energy given. Not all relationships are meant to last forever, but the ones that matter can transform your life.

I have had my own dance with relationships but what I've learnt so far is true friendships are built on mutual respect and vulnerability. It’s not always easy to let your guard down, but being open allows others to know who you truly are and show up for you. Find the people who uplift you, who challenge you to be better, and who celebrate your wins. More importantly, be that kind of person to them. Vulnerability fosters love, and where there’s no vulnerability, love cannot thrive.

So, as you navigate your relationships, remember to choose your people wisely. Allow yourself to be seen and loved for who you truly are. Because at the end of the day, life’s greatest treasures are the people who walk alongside you. You can not do life alone and you can not do life with everyone. Pick your people and be their person.

My mother, a woman who somehow always managed to have everything figured out when it came to household finances. One of the most profound lessons I learned from her was the power of buying in bulk. It’s a strategy that shaped my perspective on financial management and continues to be a game-changer for me to this day.

Growing up, I watched her stock up on groceries and household essentials for months at a time. She understood something that many overlook: frequent shopping isn’t just time-consuming, it’s costly. Take this example: if you start saving in July of one year and use those savings to purchase groceries in bulk in January for the next six months, you free up your monthly grocery budget for other expenses or savings. Moreover, buying in bulk shields you from price fluctuations. A product that costs K50 in January could easily rise to K63 by August, and by planning ahead, my mother always stayed one step ahead of inflation.

This habit doesn’t just save money, it prevents unnecessary spending. Monthly shopping trips can tempt us to pick up things we don’t need. But when you’ve already bought everything in bulk, your focus shifts to paying bills, managing other priorities, or simply saving more. In fact, even paying your bills in advance when possible can further reduce stress and keep you financially secure.

So, as we move through , take a page out of my mother’s book. Buy in bulk. Plan ahead. Save yourself the hassle of unpredictable prices and unnecessary expenses. It’s a simple habit with powerful results—one that could redefine how you manage your finances.

Earlier this year, I had a conversation with a friend who pointed out a habit of mine she greatly disliked. I told her I was working on it, but her response struck a chord: “You’re working on it, but there’s no change.” While I’m sure she’s long forgotten that statement, it stayed with me, and I’ve realized how often we convince ourselves we’re making progress without seeing real results. We tell ourselves we’re working, improving, growing but is what we’re doing truly creating the impact we hope for?

There’s a difference between working and working intentionally. I've learnt in my personal journey that growth isn’t about random effort; it’s about effort that aligns with your goals. It’s not just about going to the gym, it’s about knowing whether the exercises you’re indulging in are truly building the glutes or chest you’re targeting. In life, as is in fitness, alignment between effort and desired outcome is crucial. It’s okay not to see results instantly, but ensure that your actions are pushing you closer to where you want to be.

So as you work on yourself, as I work on myself, shall we ask: Is this the right kind of work? Are these actions contributing to the change I want to see? The key isn’t just to work, it’s to work intentionally, with purpose, and with clarity of vision. Let’s commit to meaningful growth.

When I was first introduced to books, it was my cousin, back in Ndola, who set me on that path. The very first book I intentionally read was Think and Grow Rich. One of the biggest lessons that stayed with me was about faith. The power of believing that something will happen, even when the odds seem impossible. That book taught me that faith and fear cannot coexist. It’s either you choose fear, or you choose faith.

Faith has been a game-changer for me. It has taken me to heights I never thought I’d reach, while fear on the other hand, if I let it, phas the potential to drag me into a deep tunnel I’d never envisioned. “Whatever you pray for, have faith that you have received it, and it shall be yours.” And as you do so, be reminded that “faith without works is dead." Let what you believe is yours align with your acts.

In this year, there will be moments when the image of our goals is clear and yet we might find ourselves losing our way. I’ve been there. But this year I hope we both choose to have faith, faith in the process, faith in the impossible, and faith in the God who leads us. And as we have faith, let’s ensure our actions align with what we’re trusting Him for.

May this year bring you remarkable testimonies of faith, and may you look back with a heart full of gratitude for the heights your faith has carried you to.

2024 might not have been an easy year for many of us, and it’s completely okay to acknowledge that. It’s also okay to celebrate the good things that happened to you or to others, it doesn’t diminish anyone else’s journey. But let’s not let the challenges of 2024 hold us back. Life is often shaped more in the burning moments, where we’re tested, where we’re taught to endure, and where resilience is built. It’s in those fires that we learn, that we grow, and that we prepare for what’s to come.

Let us move forward with unwavering hope and faith. The God who has carried us this far will carry us to the very end. Go into this year with blind faith and positivity. Things can change at any moment, at any time and victory will always find its way.

Choose to live this year with optimism, energy, and a burning desire to focus on your journey. Forget the noise and focus on being PRESENT in your life.

I hope this year will be kind to you. And if it’s not, I hope you find the strength to hold on to your faith, to keep believing, and to keep going. Stay hopeful, stay faithful, and stay positive. Victory is ahead.

I LOOOOOOOOOVE soccer and last night was one of those nights that got my blood boiling from minutes of happiness to minutes of frustration. By the 55th minute, Liverpool had secured an astonishing five goals, leading 5-1. For many, the game seemed all but over. The odds were stacked against Tottenham Spurs and defeat appeared rather vivid than winning or conceding any goal would have.At that moment, they had every reason to throw in the towel, to lose hope, and to give up. But they didn’t.

Instead, they kept pushing, kept playing, and kept believing. Their efforts proved rather stubborn and they found themselves at 5-3. Though Liverpool ultimately sealed the game with one more, the fight that Tottenham showed on the field was nothing short of remarkable. It was a powerful reminder that the tides can shift at any moment and that faith, effort, and resilience matter, even in the face of overwhelming odds so long you keep fighting.

Life doesn’t always play out the way we envision it. There will be moments when you feel like you’re down 5-1 and the clock is ticking against you. It’s in those moments that faith becomes your greatest ally. Faith in God, faith in a higher power, faith that things can and will get better. You don’t give up because you trust that victory can still be yours.

Many times I have found myself down, a fighting spirit crushed and not having any hope whatsoever that things will flip in my favor but I have always admired how I constantly have been proved wrong and delighted that I let faith play.

I hope this year has been kind to you. And if it hasn’t, I hope that you still have faith that things can turn at any point in time. Might not be now but later. It is important to believe in the power that surrounds you, a power that enables you to overcome challenges. Being defeated mentally is the worst of all defeats because being defeated mentally is the first step to giving up and failing. It closes all the possibilities of you believing in something.

It's totally okay if the only thing you did this year was breath. Time is not with us but faith definitely is.
