SAD: MAN DEFILES THREE JUVENILES IN KALUMBILA
POLICE in Lumwana in Kalumbila District have arrested a 25 year-old man for allegedly defiling three juveniles aged 8, 7, and 5 who were under his care as the mother the two of his victims had gone to the field.
North-Western Deputy Commissioner of police Fred Mulenga says mother to the other two juveniles, Esther Muzaza, 24, of Lumwana East in Chief Mukumbi of Kalumbila District reported the matter to Maheba police station that her two daughters and younger sister were on Tuesday around 15:00 defiled by her cousin, Mumba, whom she lives with.
Dr. Mulenga says on the material day, Muzaza left the three children under the care of Mumba and only came back from the field at around 18:00 hours but that as she was bathing her younger sister, noticed blood coming out from her private parts.
Dr. Mulenga says Muzaza then asked what happened to her and the girl disclosed that Mumba had carnal knowledge of her and also slept with her two daughters and that after the disclosure, she reported the matter to the police where three dockets of defilement cases have been opened and that Mumba has been arrested.
Dr. Mulenga has since warned that according to Convention on Rights of a Child, it is typically barbaric to subject kids to sexual abuse in this manner and that his command will not sit idle and condone defilers bent on damaging the future of the children.
Dr. Mulenga has also cautioned all those living with girls and boys in the same home to monitor every step they take with a security eye to ensure that the girls are not molested.
