KAMATIPA COMMUNITY TEACHER OFFERS TO SPONSOR ORPHAN

Last week, a 6 year old girl broke a young teacher into tears when she refused to leave the class after being chased several times by grade 1 learners.

According to facts made available, a 6 year old girl from Kamatipa Compound of Kitwe living with her ever drunk mother decided to join her friends who were in class on Wednesday but she was chased and pushed away.

When the teacher entered the class to teach, the girl came back and stood in the door way, however, at first the teacher thought she was a nuisance and asked her to leave.

She only disappeared for a few minutes and before the lesson could develop, she was back and this time, she sat on the door step to tell the teacher that she was not going to disturb.

It was at this point when the teacher read the situation. She felt bad. She betrayed the small girl who believed she could help. She silently approached the girl and asked her what she wanted. The girl with dripping tears looked down and said lowly, "Ndefwaya ukusambilila." She literally meant I want to learn.

Hearing these words broke the teacher. She could not look up, her heart was pounding, tears flowed. She allowed the girl to enter the class and sit.

Meanwhile, this is a small private school in Kamatipa which offers education almost free. The teacher has said she will support the child. She bought her the school uniform and all the school requirements for the child to blend in.

Her mother wakes up and goes to bed in beer. The father reportedly died three years ago.

Itezhi-tezhi woman sends n**es to old school friend to prove breasts had grown

A YOUNG woman of Nakabangwe Compound in Itezhi-tezhi has fallen victim to a cruel Facebook scam after being tricked into sending her n**e photo to a man she thought was an old schoolmate.

On Tuesday, the 20 year-old woman was chatting with a Facebook account that carried the name and face of her former classmate.

During the casual conversation, the supposed friend joked about their school days and teased her about having small breasts back then.

Pretending it was all in fun, he asked her to send a picture to see if they had grown.

Believing she was chatting with someone she knew and trusted, the victim sent the photo

The next day, a new Facebook account under the name Wilson Musonda reached out, claiming to have the n**e photo and demanding K2,000 to keep it private.

When she refused to send the money, the man threatened to circulate the image online and make her famous.

Shocked and scared, the woman reported the matter to police, saying she suspects her friend’s Facebook account might have been hacked or impersonated by the blackmailer.

Southern Province Police Commissioner Auxensio Daka confirmed the incident and said investigations have been launched to trace the suspect and establish how the intimate image was obtained.

“We are advising members of the public to be cautious when interacting on social media and avoid sharing private photos or information, especially with people they are not certain about,” Daka said.

He further urged victims of cyber harassment or blackmail to report such cases immediately, instead of giving in to the demands of online scammers.

Police cautioned that cases of cyber extortion are on the rise, particularly targeting young women, as criminals take advantage of social media trust and curiosity to trap their victims.

CIVIL SERVANTS WHO ENGANGE THEMSELVES IN FISHING LICENCES PAYMENTS TO STOP WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT

The Disability Association of Itezhi-Tezhi has raised a very serious concern over the civil servants who are out numbering them in fishing licences payments.
It's so sad to learn that civil servants who claim to own boats in the park don't attend meetings to show themselves that they are part of the fishing society when called by the Fishing Association and it's embarrassing to see that the differently abled can't manage to access fishing licences because of civil servants.
We feel those who are doing so are frustrating the efforts of the New Dawn Government.
We call upon the UPND Government here in Itezhi Tezhi to seriously look at this matter urgently.

*ZAMBIANS ARE NOT LAZY – THEY ARE BETRAYED*!

By Uncle Zubi

Brothers and sisters, how can a man who sits in one of the highest offices of our land, Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha, dare to call Zambians “lazy”? This is not just a careless statement—it is an insult. An insult to every farmer who wakes up before the sun to feed this nation. An insult to every mother in the market who fights through dust and heat just to raise school fees for her children. An insult to every bus driver, every conductor, every factory worker, every office worker, every student burning the midnight candle for a better future.
Zambians are not lazy! Zambians are hardworking, resilient, and determined. What Mr. Kabesha calls “laziness” is in fact the struggle of a people abandoned by their leaders, a people forced to fight for survival while those in government corridors enjoy free salaries, free fuel, free food, and free comfort—paid for by the very sweat of the citizens they mock!
This is arrogance of the highest order. It is insensitivity wrapped in privilege. How dare a man who has never gone a day without his state-funded luxuries look down on the men and women whose hard labour sustains this nation?
We must say it loud and clear: the problem is not the people of Zambia, the problem is leadership that has failed to recognize the sacrifice of its citizens! Instead of motivating the people, some leaders choose to demean them. Instead of standing with the people, they trample on their dignity.
But I declare to you today—Zambians are not lazy! Zambians are strong! Zambians are builders, survivors, and dreamers! The true laziness lies in leadership that cannot create jobs, leadership that cannot deliver opportunities, leadership that insults its own people while hiding behind privilege.
And to Mr. Kabesha, let this message ring: the Zambian people will not be demeaned. They will not be silenced. They will rise, as they have always risen, to defend their dignity and their future.
Zambian
