Yesterday the 25th March, 2026 Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation MEF hosted a public talk on environmental sustainability, spearheaded by students of the Masters in Ecumenical Leadership program in collaboration with partner institutions, including Theological Education by Extension in Zambia (T**Z), The United Church of Zambia University (UCZ), Anglican church of Zambia (ACZ) and the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA).

The talk emphasized that environmental care is a shared responsibility, requiring community education, behavioral change, and active participation rather than reliance on government alone.

The important role of religious leaders, traditional authorities, and youth in promoting responsible environmental practices was also highlighted.

The session concluded with practical action, including tree planting and environmental beautification, demonstrating a collective commitment to caring for creation.

Induction of Student Council Leadership

Today during the chapel service, Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation inducted its Student Council leadership.

Leadership begins in the classroom, where character, discipline, and vision are nurtured. This moment reaffirms our commitment to a transparent, fair, and merit-based process that raises competent and visionary student leaders.

We also acknowledge and appreciate the tireless efforts of the SRC Electoral Commissioner for upholding integrity, fairness, and excellence throughout the electoral process.

The Student Representative Council (SRC), Electoral Commission remains dedicated to advancing student leadership and institutional growth.

Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation - MEF Employees Meeting.

Today, staff of MEF convened for the Employees’ Meeting to review progress, strengthen coordination, and reaffirm our shared commitment to service and excellence.

The meeting opened with welcoming remarks and a Bible reading from Book of Psalms 32:8, introducing this year’s theme: Divine Guidance.

In her opening address, Rev. Prof. Hoyce Jacob Lyimo Mbowe encouraged staff to remain patient, to place all efforts and challenges in the hands of God, to follow divine instruction faithfully, and to endure challenges with perseverance, reminding everyone that each member of MEF is called with purpose.

The Human Resources office also formally welcomed new employees, encouraging them to embrace the organization’s values, mission, and spirit of teamwork as they join the MEF family.

During the Meeting, the School principal confirmed that Sikaneta Academy is officially registered with the Ministry of Education, Zambia and is also registered with the Kitwe District Private School Association.
The Academy currently has 72 registered pupils, reflecting steady growth and community confidence in its mission.

Employees and members of the general public were encouraged to enroll their children at Sikaneta Academy.

It was also reported that MEF is currently supporting more than 400 students through the Constituency Development Fund, demonstrating continued commitment to expanding access to education and opportunity.

The meeting announced the introduction of a Certificate in German Language, scheduled to commence in April, aimed at expanding skills development and international opportunities for learners.

The meeting reaffirmed our unity of purpose, professional dedication, and commitment to serve with integrity, faith, and excellence. Together, guided by vision and responsibility, we continue moving forward with confidence.

Student Union Leadership Election — Charles Fisher Hall

Today, students gathered at Charles Fisher Hall on the MEF Campus to participate in the Student Union leadership election. The turnout reflected strong engagement and a shared commitment to student representation and campus progress.

Congratulations to all candidates for their dedication and courage to serve, and thank you to every student who cast a vote and supported the democratic process.

Election results will be declared tomorrow at a time to be announced.
We look forward to the new leadership’s vision and positive impact on the student community.

KITWE DC, BISHOP CHIKOYA GRACED THE 65th MINDOLO ECUMENICAL FOUNDATION COLLEGE GRADUATION WHICH WAS HELD ON 7TH NOVEMBER 2025

Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation College successfully held its graduation ceremony, graced by the Head of the governors, Bishop Emmanuel Chikoya, who conferred certificates to the graduates. The Kitwe District Commissioner also attended the event, congratulating both the students and the institution's management for their achievements.

The Executive Director in Rev, Prof Hoyce Jacob Lyimo-Mbowe, commended the management, and all supporting Staffs for imparting knowlege to the students and urged the graduates to remain vigilant, uphold good values, and make a positive impact in society.
