CONTINENTAL LEADERSHIP ENGAGEMENT IN GHANA

The Office of the Vice President for Administration of the AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation (AfYEF) is pleased to announce that Ms. Mpho Machaka, a South Africa-based innovation leader, Founder & CEO of the Institute of Emerging Technologies South Africa (IETSA), and recently appointed Director for Women in Trade|AfYEF Women Wing (AWW), has arrived in Ghana on a private visit.

Following her recent appointment, and in accordance with the AfYEF Constitution (2023 Edition), which brings her into the AfYEF Board structure, Ms. Machaka is scheduled to hold a strategic engagement with Chief Siita Sofo Hissan, President of the AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation (AfYEF).

The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership alignment, institutional development, and continental collaboration within the federation.

Discussions are expected to focus on:

• Strengthening the AfYEF Women Wing
• Women and youth entrepreneurship development
• Innovation and emerging technologies
• Strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement
• National chapter activation and ecosystem development
• Capacity building and leadership development
• Advancing opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)

Ms. Machaka's visit reflects AfYEF's continued commitment to building strong continental leadership structures and fostering sustainable systems that support women and youth participation in entrepreneurship, trade, innovation, and economic development across Africa.
