Preparation vs Opportunity||
We often say, “I don’t have the opportunity to do this or that.”
But the real question is if the opportunity came today, would you be ready?
Many times, when opportunities finally present themselves, we realize we’re not ready to take them. Not because we lack the desire but because we never took time to prepare.
It’s better to be prepared without an opportunity than to have an opportunity without preparation.
Take, for instance, being given a car today and told, “Start driving.”
But you never went for driving lessons, never took time to learn, never got your license. The opportunity is there the car is right before you but because you didn’t prepare, you can’t move.
Or imagine being called to speak at a big event your name is announced, lights are on you, the microphone is handed to you, and suddenly your mind goes blank. You had the opportunity, but no preparation. 🎤
That’s why in life, and especially in communication and public speaking, preparation is not optional. You can have the confidence, the passion, and the natural gift — but without preparation, your delivery can crumble.
Even the greatest communicators practice, plan, and rehearse. Preparation strengthens your ethos and your credibility. It shows that you respect your craft, your audience, and your message.
Preparation doesn’t just make your delivery perfect it builds your reputation.
So, start preparing now. Whether or not the opportunity has shown up, be ready. Because when it finally comes, it will be too late to start preparing.
Remember:
👉" It’s better to be prepared without an opportunity than to have an opportunity without preparation."
