EVENTS HOSTI!

Last year, the EFL (Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy) Conference brought together over a thousand youths from 10 countries. They gathered for one purpose to learn, connect, and make history.

And this year, history is about to be made again.

Youth Africa Unite presents a more intimate and impactful Masterclass, with the same mission of bringing together youth leaders from across the continent for a cause that truly matters.

Join us at Protea Hotel on the 20th of December, 2025.
I’m honored to be hosting this event alongside Cleopatra, a fellow media practitioner and journalist.

We look forward to recreating history — and inspiring a new generation of leaders.

HERE'S WHY SOME YOUNG AUTHORS' BOOKS ARE NOT SELLING IN OUR COUNTRY

♦️Intro
👉🏾I am NOT here to discourage young and upcoming authors in our country but as a keen reader, I ve encountered many young authors complaining that their books ain't selling.

♦️Here Are Some of the Causes I ve Observed
1️⃣. Copy and Paste kind of writing
👉🏾 Some authors in our country are eager to finish writing a book and sell, thus they fill up the book with references from world renowned writers.
👉🏾Why would someone buy second hand data than buying the original content?

2️⃣. Using European Principles of Success
👉🏾The principles of success in this world are similar but the conditions in which one makes it are different because what works in USA might not work in Africa (Zambia)
👉🏾Be authentic by being realistic in tackling issues that affects an African.

3️⃣. Writing on What You Haven't Achieved
👉🏾Some young authors will give solutions on how to make money when they ve never had any business.
👉🏾 It's easy to read books about setting up a business from people like Pastor Choolwe , Dr Rozious Siatwambo Dr. Daniel Ngombo Kabani etc because they have established businesses.

4️⃣. What are You trying to teach?
👉🏾The purpose of writing a book is to educate. Some of our books don't have a direction. Is your book a Biography, Novel, Self help etc. You must know the area where your book will be classified.

5️⃣. Invest in the quality of your book
👉🏾A book must be attractive, so invest money in paying for Cover Planners, Editors and Quality Pages so that the reader has a feel for his/her money.

♦️I ain't trying to demotivate but authors must write on what they know (an area of expertise) or experienced,
👉🏾 Consult from established authors like Curtis M Lloyd Mizinga Melu Sonny Zulu or Mashebe I. Ngula etc
👉🏾Bring out data that will solve problems affecting society so that your readers' lives can be changed

👉🏾Maybe research on a particular subject matter and write a book whilst giving credit to anyone who gave you that data.

👉🏾If it is a novel, remember that it has a Plot, Introduction, Climax, Falling Action etc so invest in knowing the class your book will be found.

✅I hope this helps someone.

The Power of Interest:

Interest is the spark that ignites every meaningful pursuit in life. It is the inner pull, the curiosity, the desire that drives us toward something we value or want to understand. The word interest comes from the Latin interesse, meaning “to be involved or show great attention to something and/or someone”.

In other words, interest is not just liking something it is recognizing that something matters enough to draw your attention and energy. Whether you’re applying for a job, beginning a relationship, choosing a course to study, or stepping into a new opportunity, everything starts with interest. It is the quiet but powerful qualification that many people overlook.

When you cultivate genuine interest, you open doors, you attract possibilities, and you unlock personal growth. Interest is the first step to becoming involved, becoming invested, and eventually becoming excellent.

Let your interest lead you it may be the smallest spark, but it often lights the path to your greatest transformation.

So If you are Interested In becoming
A more effecctive In the way you speak , then Inbox we help you - become more confident speaker and communicator.

Stand-Up Music Awards 2025 !

There’s a certain kind of joy that comes with standing on a stage where passion meets purpose, a stage where talent is not just displayed but celebrated. This year, I had the privilege of once again hosting the Zingalume Stand-Up Music Awards 2025 on the weekend 01.11.2025, marking my second consecutive time serving as the event’s MC.

What made this year even more special was sharing the stage with someone I truly believe in Precious Phiri. Together, we brought life, laughter, rhythm, and connection to every moment of the night regardless kt being first time hosting Together.

Our synergy flowed naturally, and the energy from the audience reminded me why I love what I do. It wasn’t just about hosting an event it was about creating memories, celebrating artistry, and witnessing raw talent being appreciated in its purest form.

As an emcee, my role goes beyond holding a microphone. I bring moments to life, turning transitions into conversations and ceremonies into celebrations.

As a communications and PR specialist, I carry creativity as my language, using it to help people connect, ignite, and inspire.

To the Zingalume Stand-Up Management, thank you for trusting me once again with your platform. To every artist who performed and every audience member who showed up with energy and love — you made the night unforgettable.

Here’s to more stages, more moments, and more opportunities to celebrate Zambian creativity and excellence.

🎙️ Hosting the Old School Experience

– A Journey Back in Time

Being creative is more than just bringing a great performance. It’s about understanding that you have the power to create to build moments that speak life, joy, and connection into people’s hearts.

As a creative, I use my communications skills in creating great moments that last forever.

That’s why I’m so thrilled to announce that I’ll be hosting The Old School Experience, brought to you by Creatives Network Zambia. i thank you for trusting me with this amazing opportunity.

We’re throwing it back to the golden era on 24th October 2025, from 14:00hrs to 19:00hrs, at Roma Parish, along Zambezi Road in Lusaka.

The theme is 90s nostalgia, and the dress code is strictly vintage. Because fashion isn’t just what we wear it’s how we tell stories, how we express creativity, and how we honour the timeless energy of those who came before us.

This isn’t just another event. It’s a moment to connect, refresh, and relive the magic that shaped so much of who we are today.

Let’s bring the old-school vibe back — the music, the dance, the laughter, and the unity. Let’s celebrate creativity in its purest form.

I can’t wait to see you there dressed vintage, full of vibe, and ready to make memories that will last beyond the moment.

Preparation vs Opportunity||

We often say, “I don’t have the opportunity to do this or that.”
But the real question is if the opportunity came today, would you be ready?

Many times, when opportunities finally present themselves, we realize we’re not ready to take them. Not because we lack the desire but because we never took time to prepare.

It’s better to be prepared without an opportunity than to have an opportunity without preparation.

Take, for instance, being given a car today and told, “Start driving.”
But you never went for driving lessons, never took time to learn, never got your license. The opportunity is there the car is right before you but because you didn’t prepare, you can’t move.

Or imagine being called to speak at a big event your name is announced, lights are on you, the microphone is handed to you, and suddenly your mind goes blank. You had the opportunity, but no preparation. 🎤

That’s why in life, and especially in communication and public speaking, preparation is not optional. You can have the confidence, the passion, and the natural gift — but without preparation, your delivery can crumble.

Even the greatest communicators practice, plan, and rehearse. Preparation strengthens your ethos and your credibility. It shows that you respect your craft, your audience, and your message.

Preparation doesn’t just make your delivery perfect it builds your reputation.
So, start preparing now. Whether or not the opportunity has shown up, be ready. Because when it finally comes, it will be too late to start preparing.

Remember:
👉" It’s better to be prepared without an opportunity than to have an opportunity without preparation."

✨ VALUE OVER VOLUME: WHY SKILL MATTERS MORE THAN CERTIFICATES ✨

In today’s world, it’s easy to get impressed by volume the number of certificates, the long CVs, or the endless list of programs attended. But true success isn’t about how many papers you’ve collected… it’s about the value you can actually deliver. 💡

I once attended a Public Speaking Conference at Mulungushi International Conference Center about 2 years ago, hosted by Suwilanji Siame. I was privileged to be among a few participants sponsored by YangeniChendela, the Unstoppable Author.

What stood out to me was when Suwilanji mentioned: “Many people who come to my classes always ask first, will there be certificates?” 📜 It showed how most people focus more on the paper than the value of growth and learning.

But here’s the truth ⬇️
You don’t become a great communicator because you attended one workshop. You become better by practicing, refining, and applying your skills consistently.

👉 Value is about impact, growth, and delivery.
👉 Volume is about collection, display, and recognition.

And yes, let’s be clear certificates and papers are important ✅ because they show credibility.

But credibility without skill is empty. The world won’t reward you for how many certificates you hold — it will reward you for the value you create.

So, ask yourself today:
⚖️ Am I chasing volume, or am I building value?

The Hidden Gift of Moderating: How Holding the Mic Changed My Communication Skills

If you’ve ever watched a moderator at an event, it might seem like their job is simply to introduce speakers and keep time. That’s what I thought too until I held the mic myself.

Moderating quickly taught me that it’s not just about keeping a program in order; it’s about listening deeply, reading the room, and connecting with people in real time. I’ve had moments where the energy dipped, and with just a light comment or quick question, I managed to draw the audience back in.

Those moments showed me that true communication goes beyond words it’s about presence, timing, and connection.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is confidence in the unexpected. No matter how well an event is planned, something always goes differently maybe a speaker arrives late, maybe the sound system glitches.

At first, I used to panic inside, but moderating taught me to stay calm and adapt. Over time, I began to enjoy those unpredictable moments because they pushed me to think on my feet and trust my voice. That skill has carried into every area of my communication and public speaking I now know how to stay authentic and confident, no matter what’s happening around me.

But the best part of moderating? The people. I’ve had the privilege of connecting with industry leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and everyday audience members, and every interaction has reminded me that communication is about creating space for others. It’s about helping people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Moderating has sharpened my public speaking, yes but more than that, it has made me a bridge-builder, someone who connects voices and creates meaningful conversations. And for me, that has been the greatest gift of all.
