Vice president Dr WK mutale nalumango writes on her page
I shared this with humility and a sense of duty to truth during UCZ Silver Jubilee celebration in Chipata.
As we approach the 2026 general elections, let us reaffirm our commitment to unity. Tribalism and hate speech are wounds to the soul of our nation, they divide where we should build and hurt where we are called to heal.
I urge you, fellow worshippers, to lift up prayers for all of us in leadership, that we may govern with peace, wisdom, and humility. Equally, let us pray for our colleagues in the opposition.
In a truly democratic Zambia, politics must never be warfare, it must be rooted in the love for our nation, not in hostility toward one another. When we pray together, we invite God's grace to shape our hearts and guide our steps, even when we are tempted to falter.
The United Church of Zambia stands as a shining example of unity. Drawn from diverse regions and tribes, this church continues to thrive in harmony and love. May this spirit echo through our institutions, our homes, and our nation.
Because Zambia’s destiny depends on us choosing unity over division, compassion over contempt, and purpose over politics.
Dr. W.K Mutale-Nalumango,
