It's unfair for Hichilema to return to provinces where NRPUP has already campaigned - Kambwili
Former Chief Government spokesperson Chishimba Kambwili has urged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to ensure fairness in the campaign timetable by not allowing President Hakainde Hichilema to revisit provinces where he has already campaigned.
Speaking to Hot FM News, Kambwili said President Hichilema should not be accorded special treatment in the campaign schedule, stating that he is a presidential candidate like any other.
Kambwili said it would be unfair for the President to campaign again in provinces where National Reconciliation for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has already held campaigns, adding that the ECZ should not permit such an arrangement.
He said the ECZ had directed that each presidential candidate be allocated five days to campaign in each province.
However, Kambwili has stated that the Commission was not adhering to its own directive by allowing President Hichilema to return to provinces where he had already campaigned.
