Dear Artist,
Your social media is no longer just a place to post pictures. Itâs your second stage.
Before many people stream your music, buy a ticket to your show, or even reply to your message, theyâll probably visit your profile first. Within a few seconds, theyâll decide whether youâre an artist worth paying attention to.
Think about it. A&R executives, promoters, event organizers, DJs, playlist curators, brands, and even potential fans are all checking your online presence. If your page looks inactive, inconsistent, or confusing, they may move on without ever hearing your best song.
Social media isnât about chasing trends every day. Itâs about telling your story, showing your journey, and giving people a reason to connect with you beyond the music.
Share snippets of your recording sessions. Let fans see your rehearsals. Talk about the inspiration behind your songs. Celebrate your wins, no matter how small. Show your personality. People donât just support songsâthey support artists they feel connected to.
Also, remember that consistency matters more than perfection. You donât need expensive cameras or elaborate productions to build a loyal audience. A genuine video, a thoughtful caption, or a short performance clip can do more than weeks of silence.
Most importantly, donât disappear after releasing a song. Keep talking about it. Create content around it. Perform it live. Tell stories about it. Give your music multiple chances to be discovered.
Your social media should work for your career every day, even while youâre asleep. Treat it with the same seriousness you treat the studio.
The world canât support an artist they never get to know.
