Dear Leaders, Partners, and Supporters,

A blessed good morning to you all. As we begin this new day, Thursday, 22nd May 2025, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your love, support, and encouragement on this journey. I'm humbled by the numbers of people the Lord is raising and adding to our campaign team.

Today' Spiritual Nugget: Faith and Leadership

"For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). God wants us to embrace faith in our leadership. Lusaka's challenges require more than good policies, leadership, and money – they demand faith. With God on our side, we're able to overcome obstacles and embark on the Vision Make Lusaka Great.

Under President Hakainde Hichilema's leadership, we will:

1. Decongest roads through bypass construction and road widening.
2. Reduce crime through street lighting and security measures.
3. End perennial flooding by constructing adequate drainage systems.
4. Create play parks and sports facilities to keep youth engaged.
5. Establish early childhood education centers and skills development centers.
6. Implement effective waste management systems.
7. Sensitise residents on waste disposal and enforce laws against indiscriminate dumping.

May I invite you to join me on this journey, and together, we will work towards transforming Lusaka. We will balance faith and action to address the city's challenges.

I speak a blessing on the Republican President, his cabinet, residents of Lusaka, and the people of Zambia. May God guide and bless us. I wish you a blessed and productive Thursday.

Dear Leaders, supporters, and partners,

As we begin this new day, Sunday, 18th May 2025, let's reflect on the goodness and mercies of the Lord, which are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23). Let's take a moment to praise Him for the gift of life and for the blessings that lie ahead in this new week.

As we go about our day, let's pray and bless each day of the week, trusting the Lord for victory and breakthroughs. May His favor and guidance be upon us (Psalm 118:25-26).

I encourage each one of you to do something positive that will make Zambia and Lusaka better. Let's help those in need, be productive, and take care of our environment. Let's discourage littering, indiscriminate dumping of waste, and burning things that contribute to pollution and degradation. Instead, let's plant trees, especially fruit trees, grass, flowers, and vegetables to beautify our city and contribute to food security.

May God bless and preserve Zambia, our Republican President, and all the people of Lusaka. Let's strive to make a difference and be a blessing to our community.

Have a blessed Sunday!

Dear beloved members,

I want to start this beautiful day by expressing my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for your tireless efforts and sacrifices. Your dedication to our cause is truly inspiring, and I'm grateful for your commitment.

I'm thrilled to report that we're making significant progress, and the goodwill from the people is overwhelming. It's clear that the favor of God is upon us, and I have no doubt that He who has begun a good work will bring it to accomplishment (Philippians 1:6). Let's remain focused and determined, knowing that our labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Our ultimate goal is to secure a second term for President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND, and Lusaka must contribute maximum votes. Let's work together to make this happen!

Unity and togetherness are crucial to our success. We must embrace diversity and have a unity of purpose built around improving the lives of the people in line with the President's vision.

As we go about our day, let's pray for peace, good health, and prosperity for our President, the City, and all residents, and for our nation as a whole. May God bless us all.

I wish you a blessed and God-filled weekend. Let's continue to work together towards a brighter future for Lusaka and Zambia.

May God bless you all!

On Friday, 16th May 2025, Rev. Dr. William Njombo, Aspiring Mayor of Lusaka, held a special meeting with the UPND Mtendere Ward 34 Women's Choir. The meeting was attended by key party officials, including Ms. Prisca Kabeleka, Mtendere Ward 34 Aspiring Candidate, Apostle Kelvin Nalumango, Ms. Loveness Mbaso, Munali Constituency Women's Chairlady, and Mtendere Ward 34 leadership.

We took time to listen to concerns and challenges faced by the women in the ward and encouraged them to remain focused and continue supporting President Hakainde Hichilema's initiatives.
We also urged them to recruit others to ensure the President's re-election in 2026.
In addition, we highlighted the benefits of President Hichilema's policies, including free education, increased CDF, and better healthcare.
Lastly, we promised to establish a special empowerment fund for women and youths that is going to supplement government efforts in meeting the Financial needs of women and Youth entrepreneurs.

Lastly, this meeting strengthened the bond between our team and women of Mtendere Ward 34 and emphasised the importance of collective support for the President's vision and the party's agenda.

Dear valued supporters,

Good morning our able team. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for standing with me in this journey to make Lusaka great. Your support means the world to me, and I want to assure you that you have made the right decision by backing me as your aspiring Mayor.

In these times of uncertainty, I know it's easy to feel discouraged, but I urge you not to give up. We are on the cusp of something great, and our collective efforts will bring about the change Lusaka deserves. As leaders, we must demonstrate love, loyalty, and a commitment to serving the masses.

Let's not despise the days of small beginnings. Every great achievement starts with a single step, and our vision to make Lusaka great is no exception. This is not just a political slogan; it's a cause that requires dedication, hard work, and perseverance.

To all those who are dissatisfied with the current state of our city – the poor waste management, lack of street lights, inadequate drainage systems, poor road network, and rising crime – I invite you to join our cause. Let's work together to bring about the change we want to see in Lusaka.

By supporting me, you're not just supporting a candidate; you're supporting a vision that aligns with our President's agenda to deliver quality leadership at the local government level. Let's give President HH the right people to work with, people who are capable of delivering results.

Thank you for your unwavering support. Together, we can make Lusaka great!

Yesterday, Sunday, 11th May 2025, was a momentous day as I joined hundreds of Lusaka residents from all walks of life, led by our esteemed Republican President, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, and the First Lady, Mutinta Hichilema, in a special service at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. We came together to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Lord God Almighty for His mercies and blessings. We thanked Him for preserving our lives and sustaining us during the severe drought that affected our nation. We also lifted our voices in praise for the rains that followed, which have resulted in a bountiful harvest. This gathering, organized by the National Day of Prayer Organising Committee, was a powerful reminder of the importance of faith and unity in our nation. I am grateful to have been a part of this momentous occasion. God bless Zambia, and God bless our Great Republic.

Njombo Pledges Impeccable and Unifying Leadership at LCC.

By VMLG Reporter

As the 2026 general elections approach, Lusaka residents are eagerly anticipating a change of leadership at the Lusaka City Council. The current state of affairs has left many disillusioned with the "business as usual" approach. However, Rev. Dr. William Njombo is determined to bring a fresh and unifying leadership to the Council that will make a positive impact on the city.

With over 10 years of experience in politics and his unwavering commitment to the UPND, Rev. Dr. Njombo is confident that he is the right person for the job. During a recent visit to the UPND Mandevu Constituency Executive Committee, he shared his journey in politics and his contributions to the party. He also expressed his reasons for continuing his mayoral journey, which began in 2021. Rev. Dr. Njombo sees the UPND not just as a political party, but as a family with the President as its head. As an ambassador of this great family, he always puts the interests of the party ahead of his own.

One of Rev. Dr. Njombo's main objectives is to address the lack of effective leadership at the Council. He commended the hard work of most UPND Councillors, but also highlighted the lack of unity and direction within the Council. This division has hindered progress and prevented the Councillors from working together effectively. It is no secret that this can be attributed to the lack of strong leadership.Rev. Dr. Njombo firmly believes in the importance of a leader who can unite and inspire others to work towards a common goal. He promises to prioritize community engagement and work closely with the residents of Lusaka to address their concerns. His years of experience in politics and unwavering dedication to the UPND make him well-equipped to lead the Lusaka City Council and bring about positive change.

As the 2026 elections approach, Rev. Dr. Njombo is determined to bring a new chapter of leadership to the Lusaka City Council.
