A couple of weeks ago, I finally addressed a health issue that had me consulting over 10 medical professionals over the past five years. Throughout this journey, one thing became painfully clear—women’s chronic pain is often dismissed as insignificant. One doctor even told me I would have to rely on painkillers for the rest of my life.
I’m incredibly grateful to have found my current doctor, who took the time to conduct thorough investigations and explain each step in detail. A specialist was also brought in to assist with the surgical procedure, and my heart is filled with gratitude for both Dr. Andrew and Dr. Bastiaan.
This experience has made me realize just how many women are forced to fight to have their pain taken seriously. If you’ve ever had your symptoms dismissed or struggled to get a proper diagnosis, I’d love to hear your story. Let’s start a conversation—because no one should have to suffer in silence.
Doctors and medical professionals, your insights are welcome too! How can we bridge the gap between patients and proper care? Let’s keep the discussion open and constructive.
