ACCOMMODATION CRISIS AT UNZA: A CALL TO ACTION

The accommodation shortage has been a persistent issue at the university for a long time. Despite having over 1000 uncompleted rooms, the university continues to face a severe shortage of bed spaces. Successive governments have made promises to complete the hostels, but these remain unfulfilled.

The shortage has led to squatting, exacerbating the already deplorable sanitation conditions at UNZA. It is common knowledge that poor sanitation is a daily reality, necessitated by the lack of adequate accommodation.

Therefore, it is high time management and government prioritized the completion of these stalled hostels. Completing these hostels will not only alleviate the accommodation shortage but also significantly improve sanitation.
