Chipo Mwanawasa visited the FI Media Lounge, where she reflected on the President’s strong commitment to energy as a priority sector and the bold reforms driving investment into power generation. She also discussed the Mission 300 panel, which brings together partners such as SE4All, AfDB and the Rockefeller Foundation to accelerate access to energy, pushing the ambition beyond 300 million people towards universal access across Africa.

Financial Insight’s Clarence Chongo sat down with Mr. William Makubalo, Chief Operating Officer at FSI Outsourcing Ltd, at AfricaWorks in Lusaka ahead of the American Chamber of Commerce Golf Day. FSI, fully Zambian-owned and operational since 2019, provides high-quality outsourcing services to international clients, particularly in the financial and mortgage industries, through a staff augmentation model.

Mr. Makubalo explained that FSI’s services range from accounting and IT services to underwriting and live call centre support, ensuring clients receive seamless business process outsourcing tailored to their needs. With a strong focus on the financial sector, FSI has grown significantly, even expanding during the COVID-19 pandemic, and continues to serve international clients while building strong Zambian partnerships.

On the AmCham Golf Day, FSI sees a dual opportunity: visibility for international clients and networking with local partners. Mr. Makubalo highlighted that the event allows them to connect with key stakeholders, strengthen collaborations, and showcase their capabilities. FSI remains committed to supporting AmCham Zambia and leveraging such platforms to grow its footprint locally and internationally.
