Mr. Ngoma urged government to support the local farmers and small scale miners by ensuring that they are given all the necessary equipment educated or not to manage their day to day mining activities in the areas where mining has been identified across the country.

The Leadership Movement Secretary General said local small scale miners across the country should be given mining licenses in order for them to do their mining activities freely.

Zambia has the capacity to manage its own resources – Mr. Jairos Ngoma

By Staff Reporter

Leadership Movement (LM) Secretary General Mr. Jairos Ngoma says Zambia has the capacity to manage its own resources and has wondered why foreigners are allowed to do business freely saying they are investors with licenses.

Mr. Ngoma said Zambia has got plenty of power in the name of young people and has the capacity to run its own mine rather than depending on other foreign countries.

The LM Secretary General said mining did not start today, it started a long time ago before technology and hence urged the Zambian people to use the basic tools that they have be it in farming or mining.

Mr. Ngoma said the country has got a lot of abundant land and natural resources were by if utilized well with the involvement of the young people, the high cost of living being faced by many Zambians today would have come to an end.

He added that local production is vital and the country should create its mineral reserve agency to store its minerals with mining activities being spearheaded by Zambia National Service (ZNS) with the engagement of the young people across the country.

Mr. Ngoma also urged African leaders to be focused and take advantage of local resources given by God and make use of them properly for the intended purpose.

He also advised the Head of State Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, the President of the Republic of Zambia to take advantage of the foreign trips he is making and employ good trade relationship with other countries for cheap petroleum products.

The Leadership Movement (LM) Secretary General who gave an example of productive countries like the United Arab Emirates which is able to manage its own oil field said Zambia should admire and learn from countries like such and able to manage its own natural resources and become self-sustainable.

Mr. Ngoma further advised the United Party for National Development (UPND) and its Administration to deliver on the promises they made by reducing the price of mealie meal, fertilizer to a reasonable price and among others commodities.

He also asked the UPND government to go back to massive production and stop mounting problems onto the Zambian citizens and the future generation who have given them the mandate to run the country.

Mr. Ngoma also expressed suddenness to note that some allegedly foreigners are swindling small scale miners in Mkushi by buying their manganese for as low as K50.

And on the issue to do with the fight against corruption, Mr. Ngoma said maybe the voter out there have seen it under UPND but as Leadership Movement (LM), government in waiting with Dr. Richard Silumbe, no tangible results have been seen on the fight against corruption in the country.

And Leadership Movement Deputy Secretary General John Chandalala challenged the Police saying that LM party, is not the enemy of the State and asked Police to do their work diligently and professionally.

He said that Leadership Movement under Dr. Richard Silumbe loves the country so much and their agenda as a party is to see to it that Zambian citizens enjoys the freedom they deserve.

“We want Zambia full of unity, we want Zambia to embrace each other, let’s not be enemies of each other because one is coming from Leadership Movement (LM) or United Party for National Development (UPND), we differ items of our political affiliation,” he added.

Mr. Chandalala said Leadership Movement has its own directions and ideologies of making sure that every Zambian owns land with title deeds, youths who are not educated are given jobs and Zambians businesses given tax breaks and tax holidays.- New Vision Newspaper

Lupindula Dares Edgar Lungu
..to tell the Zambian people the truth

By Staff Writer

Governance Expert Davies Mwashi Lupindula says Ex-President Edgar Lungu must state clearly whether he has made a political comeback.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Lupindula said the Patriotic Front(PF) must state who are office bearers of the party.“President Lungu must state clearly whether he is back in politics or not,” he said, adding “The 2021 Constitutional Court ruling that declared Mr. Lungu eligible to stand for third time remains questionable among many Zambian citizens. If anything, despite the fact that we respect the Constitutional Court ruling, we don’t agree with it. We intend to challenge the Constitutional Court to determine that matter again.”
He commended the Registrar of Societies for bringing sanity (by seeking to deregister the former ruling party).
The Governance Expert said in trying to deregister the PF, the Registrar of Societies is within the law, saying good governance entails that the rule of law is thoroughly followed.
Mr. Lupindula stated that the PF have themselves to blame for not following the rule of law.He observed that Zambians are quite dismayed to see the PF moving around the country without clearly stating who is running the party. “
The PF have themselves to blame for not adhering to the rule of law. We want the Registrar of Societies to follow this matter because the country is in anguish as it wants to know the office bearers of the former ruling party,” he stated.
Asked whether Mr. Lungu is still a factor in Zambian politics for people to continue talking about him, Mr. Lupindula said everyone is a factor in the political process, “but that factor must state clearly whether or not they are in active politics because there is a former President benefit Act which clearly forbids the former President who is getting a pension and the benefits to continue participating in politics,” he said.
He said Zambians would not want to experience the ECL Political thuggery era againThe Governance Activist has since thanked President Hakainde Hichilema for improving the democratic credentials of the country.
