I love my mother, not because she is my biological mother, but she is also my source of spiritual tenacity. I totally believe that when you have the right mother, she will love you more than anyone has ever loved you, including your spouse.
I have listed 7 aspects of a mother's prayers that I have personally experienced from Cleopatra Phiri
1. Unconditional love:
A mother's prayer is deeply rooted in a powerful and selfless love that i believe can move mountains and light the darkest paths. I have been in many dark places, but it was her prayers that brought me light!
2. Prayers are seen as a way for a mother to seek a higher power's protection, guidance, and blessings for her child's health, happiness, and future. And these prayers are unconditional!
3. A source of strength:
A mother's prayer is a constant, unwavering belief that her child is in the hands of a higher power, providing comfort and strength to both mother and child. Even in my darkest days, I am assured that my mother is not sleeping and it gives me strength, and I believe that a mother that knows you well, is also strengthened by the idea that my child is looking upto God and not me!!
4. Shaping destiny:
The prayers are not just pleas but are believed to actively shape the child's destiny, build resilience, and inspire confidence. I know that I can do anything that my mind sets out to do because of this truth.
5. Active engagement:
The power of a mother's prayer is often linked to her active engagement in her child's life, making her prayers filled with "energy" and purpose, unlike a fleeting thought. I have seen my mother pray for my siblings, family members and for me without laziness, but ready to engage in prayer at any time!
6. A lasting legacy:
A mother's prayers are seen as a lasting gift that endures through all of life's challenges, creating an unbreakable spiritual bond. Hence why I now pray for my children without laziness, I know one thing for sure, I pray for my children more than they pray for themselves, that's legacy.
7. Bridging the gap:
When a mother's earthly abilities to protect or guide are limited, prayer is seen as a way for God to fill in the gaps, extending a divine covering everywhere her child goes. In my darkest days, my mother let me know that she will not always be there, therefore she introduced me to the one that is ever present, his name is Jesus.
