Police in Western Province have confirmed that 17 suspects, including musicians Moses Ng’andwe, popularly known as Chester, and Felix Mangani Phiri, widely known as Felix Ndangeni Inshila, as well as comedian Winston Ngosa, also known as IDC Light Comedy, have been charged with riotous behaviour and possession of offensive weapons.

Western Province Police Commissioner Godfrey Mwanza says the suspects remain in custody at Mongu Correctional Facility following their arrest earlier this month.
Mr Mwanza says the case dockets have been submitted to the National Prosecution Authority (NPA) for perusal, and a date for their court appearance has not yet been set.

He says the suspects are expected to appear before the court once all the necessary prosecutorial processes have been completed.
