FIRST FAMILY ATTENDS THE SDA BIG SABBATH FESTIVAL OF THE LAITY
Today Republican President, Mr Hakainde Hichilema and First Lady Mutinta Hichilema attended the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Big Sabbath Festival of the Laity at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Where the Head of State an Adventist and invested Master Guide, was honoured with an award for Exception Support to Adventist Mission.
President Hichilema urged citizens to embrace unity, love, and compassion to build a harmonious nation.
He also emphasised on strengthening family values, encouraged couples to care for each other and children.
The Head of State commended the church for its work in nurturing good citizenship noting the growing membership.
And described the Big Sabbath as a true blessing which enabled brothers and sisters in Christ, not only from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, but also from other Christian denominations to worship together and listen to uplifting messages about the soon coming King.
The service included the SDA General Conference President, Elder Ted Wilson and his wife Nancy.
