Nard Films Internship Comes to a Close
Three months ago, we opened our doors to passionate young Zambians eager to grow in film, media, and creative craft. From hundreds of applications, we selected 10 talented interns five males and five females and today we celebrate the success of that journey.
Throughout the program, the interns strengthened their skills in closing deals within the film business, effective scriptwriting, cast directing, cinematography, and magazine and film production across all stages. They also actively participated in our weekly film projects and productions, gaining hands-on experience from industry experts.
A major highlight of the program was flying 9 interns to South Africa to train with our Nard SA team. They had the incredible opportunity to learn from some of Africa’s leading production houses, including the renowned Gambit Films, where they experienced world-class filmmaking at its peak.
Although we sadly lost one amazing soul during the journey, we honour their memory and the impact they made. We are proud that six of our interns have already secured professional roles in the industry across africa, a testament to the power of mentorship, opportunity, and dedication.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all our partners, supporters, and everyone who believes in our mission to empower Zambians through film. Special thanks to our Managing Director Mapalo Nkole, Nard films Visionary Director Conard Muwowo, our South African mentor Luke B. Brown, and the entire Nard Films team. We also appreciate people who help us achieve some initiatives and mentor as a Owas Ray Mwape-Film Director, Mali5ive , Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts .and the Government of Zambia at large .
Keep your eyes open for the 2026 Internship Programme bigger, better, and even more impactful.
