A 55-year-old man of 10 Miles, Lusaka, shocked some court attendants when he pleaded guilty to having s*x with his own biological 13-year-old daughter.

The man, whose named will be concealed to protect the identity of the victim, told a magistrate that he did not understand what came over him when he committed the act.
The accused, fake name Ba Banda, claimed something covered his face before he realized that he had carnal knowledge of his daughter.
He appeared before Lusaka magistrate Mutinta Mwenya yesterday charged with in**st.
Allegations are that on October 5 last year, Ba Banda had carnal knowledge of a female, psydonym Chisha, knowing the same to be his biological daughter.
After the charge was readout, the accused admitted the charge and that he does not understand how 'something' came over him.
The case was adjourned to next week Monday for reading of facts and sentencing.
Allegations are that on the material day around 23:00hours, Chisha was sleeping at her neighbour's house.
She later received a call from her father, who informed her he had bought the school books she wanted.
Ba Banda told his daughter not be scared to sleep in the house and that Nana should be free around him.
The child then went back home and slept in her bedroom but while in deep sleep, her father entered the room and woke her up.
While carrying a knife, the accused allegedly threatened his daughter not to scream or tell anyone about the what would happen or else he would kill her.
He allegedly locked the door and covered Chisha with a blanket before he undressed and had carnal knowledge of the minor.
The next morning, the child confided in her neighbour and older sister before she reported the issue with her mother.
The case was later reported to law enforcers.
