‎The Stigma of Mental Health on Men

‎Let’s be real for once we’ve grown up in a society where mental illness in men doesn’t “exist.” When men feel depressed or anxious, society expects them to bottle up their feelings and hold everything inside, “like real men do.”

‎Now I understand why Uncle Chairman Pompi said “veafuna ni salience” (all he wants is silence). Men are expected to keep quiet, even when it hurts, simply because they appear muscular and strong on the outside. Yet inside, many of us are fragile like newborn babies, crying out to be heard.

‎Being a man doesn’t exempt you from mental health disorders. Being a man doesn’t shield you from the stress and pressure of this world. But being a real man means accepting that mental health is real and understanding that talking about it helps. 👌

The greatest inspiration you'll ever get is from a family member or someone really close to you 😉

Well, lemme say this my brother is one of my biggest idols. But to tell you the honest truth, I never imagined I’d ever say that at any point in my childhood 😂.

Let’s be real during childhood, big brothers were known for tormenting their younger siblings. Always picking fights, finding faults, playing the role of the “deputy parent.” And those lines alone perfectly describe who my elder brother was to me.

But as the years rolled by, I started to feel the real impact of having an elder brother. I began to value the way he corrected me, even if we’d argue a thousand times over it (which we did — uncountable times, actually 😂).

Fast forward to today, seeing the man my elder brother has become is nothing short of inspiring. The things he has achieved at his age? Truly amazing. Did I forget to mention that he’s a lab technician? 🧫🔬

There are 3 powerful lessons I’ve learned from him:

1. Your background doesn’t determine your final destination.
We didn’t grow up with money, but that never stopped us from dreaming and believing.
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

2. Humbleness.
Being humble will take you places. You might not realize this, but the best qualification you’ll ever have in this life is humility. I bet we all know the story of David in the Bible from a shepherd boy to a king.

3. Discipline.
Yoh, this one right here it’s tough for most people, but as a man, once you master it, success is almost guaranteed.

🌟 To Inspire So That People Can Aspire 🌟

Ever wondered why I started this platform?
Take a wild guess... 🤔
Simple answer: To inspire someone out there. Maybe even you.

Now you’re probably asking, “But how does inspiration even work?” 🧐
Lemme break it down like a student male nurse (or a scientist lol 😂):

👉 Imagine inspiration is like adrenaline—
You know, that thing your body releases when you see a dog chasing you 🐕💨
Next thing you know, you’ve jumped a wall you never thought you could!
Your heart’s racing, your legs are in beast mode—boom! You're out! 😂

Here’s the science behind the scene:
🧠 Adrenaline = Inspiration
❤️ Your heart = Motivation
🧍‍♂️ Your body = YOU

Once you’ve got inspiration and motivation flowing, the next move is yours.
Like they say:

"With great power comes great responsibility."

If you've got the spark, don't waste it.
Use it to grow—and maybe, just maybe, help someone else aspire too. 🙌

The most asked question I’ve encountered from people,you guessed it right 😂“Why choose a career meant for women?” Honestly, that question drains me, but at the end of the day, I just laugh it off and keep pushing forward in the career I chose.

I remember back in primary school, my teachers would always ask,
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
And without fail, I’d say, “I want to work in a hospital.” 😂
Funny, right?
One might ask how “working in a hospital” is a career — but little me had no idea that adult me would choose to become a male nurse.

I don’t think I betrayed that younger version of myself.
If anything, we paved the way together.
We inspired each other through mental fatigue, academic stress, and every challenge along the way.

If you asked me,
“Did little me make the right choice?”
My answer?
Ye ye ye ye!!!!! just like that Burna Boy hit song 😂

I know this journey won’t be easy, but the goal is clear NMCZ:
To finish strong and not just be a male nurse…
But be THE male nurse! 😎💉
