This follows inspections conducted by Council Health Inspectors in an effort to prevent the spread of Cholera.
Mpika District has of yesterday, recorded 1 case of Cholera in the District .
Senior Health Inspector Francis Kapila says the council has closed the facility due to poor hygiene practices and failure to follow public health act cap 295 and food safety no 7 of 2019.
The Senior Health Inspector further says the closure led to heavy infestation of flies and offensive.
Mr Kapila says the outbreak of Chorela in Mpika is an eye opener that restaurant owners should maintain high hygiene standards.
Mr Kapila says a sensitization program to business premises such as restaurants, food out lets, bakery and butcheries has started.
The Senior Health Inspector says the sensitization is emphasizing people in the district to have hand washing buckets, liquid soaps and adequate water supply.
