“Do Not Twist the Word of God” 🙏✨️
2 Peter 3:16 — Peter speaks about people who “twist” the Scriptures to their own destruction.
What does it mean to twist God’s Word?
It means changing, misrepresenting, or interpreting Scripture in a way that supports our own ideas rather than what God actually said.
Satan twisted Scripture.
In Matthew 4:5–7, Satan quoted Scripture to Jesus but used it wrongly. Jesus answered with Scripture in its proper meaning.
Taking one verse out of context can mislead people.
We should study the verses before and after it, understand who was speaking, and consider the whole teaching of Scripture.
We must not change God's Word to make it comfortable.
2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to rightly handle the word of truth.
Our responsibility is to obey the truth, not manipulate it.
John 17:17: “Your word is truth.”
“Am I allowing the Word of God to change me, or am I changing the Word of God to agree with me?”
