aHyena attacks 2 boys returning from football match in Lundazi
TWO young boys in Lundazi District are nursing serious injuries after a hyena attacked them while they were walking home from watching a football match.
Yesterday in Kasalika Village, a report was made by Mapopa Zimba, aged 30, who informed police that his six-year-old son Righteous Zimba and seven-year-old nephew Misheck Luzendo had been attacked by the wild animal around 18:00 hours.
According to police, the two children had earlier gone with others to watch football at Mukomba Primary School, about one kilometre from their village.

Both boys sustained head injuries and were found unconscious after the attacks.
According to Eastern Province Police Commanding officer Robertson Mweemba, they were first rushed to Mukomba Rural Health Centre before being referred to Lundazi District Hospital for further treatment.
"The two Children were rushed to their parents who later quickly took them to Mukomba Rural Health Center were they were later transfered to Lundazi District Hospital for further medication," Mweemba stated.
