The 2026 Vision Conference for the 17th Episcopal District to be chaired by Bishop Vernon R Byrd Jr. Esq. comes with grace and favour as the Leadership and members in the District come together for yet an inspiring gathering under the Theme" Love One Another". 1 John 4:20-21 from 23rd to 25th April 2026.

The Vision Conference will be blessed with the presence of High Profile yet very humble servants of the African Methodist Episcopal Church Official in the name of Rev. Dr. John Frank Green, the Executive Director Global Witness and Ministry and Dr. John Thomas III the Editor of The Christian Recorder.

We eagerly are waiting for what the Lord is about to do in the session of the Conference. Clearly, it is evident and cannot be denied anymore that the Lord is doing new things in the Episcopal District as the church keeps lifting Jesus Higher.

The Presiding Bishop Vernon R Byrd Jr. Esq. has consistently supported the Sons of Allen since he was assigned to the 17th Episcopal District. In 2025 he became a jacketed member and clearly the Men of the Church are blessed to have a leader that is interested in furthering the spread of the Gospel through the Men's Ministry. Despite his busy schedule this time around he has also found time to join the Men in Solwezi for the 2026 Convention. The smile sparkles the Men's commitment to continue serving! The attendance at this year's event has tripled from the previous conventions.

The Men are on the move! Infact the Women and ladies in the Church are now saying they will join and be referred to as the Daughters of Allen! Oh wooow this is great! This is phenomenal!

The Zambezi Conference Women's Missionary Society President made a contribution to support the Sons of Allen Episcopal Convention in Solwezi. The contribution was received by the Episcopal Coordinator and the Episcopal President. The Women's Missionary Society and the Sons of Allen have been working together and supporting each other's programmes at different levels of cooperation. This is great for the church.
