LOSSING LUBANSENSHI MP PETITIONS THE RESULTS

Lossing Lubansenshi Constituency Parliamentary candidate Kolala Mulenga has petitioned the 13th August election results that saw NRPUP candidate George Penda the winner .

Mr. kolala polled 4 ,301 votes while Mr. Penda polled 4,312 votes with only a difference of 11 votes between the two.

KOLALA CALLS FOR LUWINGU YOUTHS TO BE EMPLOYED AT FRA

Former Lubanseshi aspiring MP Innocent Mulenga Kolala says the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) in Luwingu faces the same challenges every year because the people employed there are not Luwingu residents.

Mr. Kolala stated that non-local employees do not feel for the people and believe Luwingu residents are ignorant.

He has appealed to all leaders concerned to ensure FRA employs youths from within the district first.

He added that those from other districts can also be employed from their districts, noting that Luwingu has many youths who are eager for the jobs.

TWO DEPOT CLERKS FIRED AT LUENA DEPOT SATELLITE, DC CHILESHE ADDRESSES PAYMENT DELAYS AND RUMORS IN LUWINGU

Two depot clerks at the Luena Depot Satellite in Luwingu District have been dismissed and replaced following reported irregularities.

The development was confirmed by Luwingu District Commissioner, Mr. Chomba Chileshe, during a tour of several depot satellites in the district.

Mr. Chileshe visited Nsanja, Sokontwe, Tungati, Fumgwe, Luena, and Kaseya depot satellites to assess operations. Addressing rumors circulating about problems at the depots, the DC said some allegations were true while others were false.

He urged members of the public to verify information before spreading it, and commended those sharing factual reports, saying accurate information is key to maintaining peace in the district.

On concerns of late payments to beneficiaries, Mr. Chileshe said the government remains committed to timely disbursements.

He attributed the current delays to the high number of people across the province awaiting payment, and assured residents that efforts are being made to clear the backlog and ensure all beneficiaries are paid on time.
