STATEMENT FROM LUAPULA CREATIVE INDUSTRY GROUP
Following the comments and questions surrounding our recent visit to Mansa Correctional Centre, we would like to clarify a few things.
One of our brothers is currently at Mansa Correctional Centre. For personal and privacy reasons, we have decided to withhold his name. We understand that many people are curious to know who he is, but we kindly ask everyone to respect his privacy.
We always seek consent before sharing personal information or publishing someone's name. If our brother has requested that his name not be made public, we cannot go against his wishes.
We also want to explain why we shared information about the visit. Luapula Creative Industry Group is made up of people from different creative fields, and we believe that activities and movements involving the creative community should, where appropriate, be shared publicly. Some people who take part in our activities may not be official members of the group but are part of the wider creative industry.
Our intention was simply to let the public know that we visited and checked on our brother, and that he is in high spirits.
