Fellow Citizens,
Today I had the honour to lead a team of stakeholders including representatives of our Kabwe based Church Mother Bodies in touring the Mulungushi Textiles in Kabwe.
This move was in recognition of the fact that both government and the Church are partners in development serving the same people of course from different ends.
The engagement was also meant to give our spiritual leaders an opportunity to get first hand information on the progress being recorded at Mulungushi Textile as one of the biggest projects your government under President Hichilema is implementing for the good of our critical masses in the region, and this will help deliver correct information to their congregants.
During our interactions, we also encouraged the Church on the need to take advantage of some opportunities coming with the construction of the Lusaka - Ndola dual Carriageway where upon formation of cooperatives they can be sub-contracted especially during the phase for the construction of Township roads.
You may wish to know that slightly above $12 million has been injected into this project to procure state of the art equipment, creating over 25, 000 direct and indirect jobs for our local people.
Once again, I wish to thank the Church mother Bodies for honouring our invitation and we hope this move will defuse the lies being peddled amongst our people by those who are allergic to development.
Together, we can make Central Province and Zambia at Great again.
