Tuesday 21.01.25 : Scripture Reading

Theme: Obedience to God - John 14:21

"Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”

Reflection:
Obedience is how we show our love to God. It is how God feels loved by us. We love God because He is good, and as a response to His Great LOVE for us. Let's not just tell God that we love Him, instead, let us accompany our words with obedience to His Commandments, His Word, His will, His teachings and instructions. This is because the evidence of our love for God is our obedience to Him. In the words of our Lord Jesus, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments."

Reflection Questions:
How do you show obedience to God in your personal life?

Is there any instruction that God has given you that you haven't obeyed or have delayed to obey?

Do you examine your conscience oftenly to see if you've obeyed God's commandments, and thereafter prepare for the Sacrament of Confession?

Let's Prayer

Dear Father, we desire to obey You and Your commandments. We ask The Holy Spirit to help us and to give us the strength to obey You, even when it's difficult. We pray that we may love You not just by our words but by our obedience to You. Amen.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏👏👏👏

Jesus had one priority: To do the will of His Father. He is a model of perfect obedience, and our goal is to follow His example.

TODAY'S 20.01.25 MORNING PRAYER

Let Us Pray

Dear God,

Thank you for waking Us up on this beautiful Monday morning and for the gift of a new week. As We begin this day, We praise Your holy name and rejoice in the week You have prepared for Us.

We pray that this week is filled with joy, love, and countless blessings for Us and to everyone around Us. Lord, grant Us wisdom and strength to face each moment, and let Your peace guide Our hearts.

Help Us to shine Your light, spread kindness, and reflect Your goodness in all We do. Give Us some calm and sound minds, and strengthen Our faith so We can trust You to handle every challenge. Remind Us not to worry about tomorrow, for You are already working things out for Our good.

Thank You, Father, for Your endless grace and love.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏👏👏👏👏

Monday Reflection

Psalms 128:2 (KJV)
“For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.”

We deserve to enjoy! Life is full of many adventures, and the children of God are bound to suffer many tribulations, trials, tests, and temptations. This is the more reason why, after going through all these tribulations, trials, tests, and temptations, a time will come for us to be glorified. It is a time that God has assigned at the end of our toil to enjoy the fruits of our labors in the Lord. It is not a time for weeping anymore but a time of rejoicing and celebrating - celebrating Jesus Christ for seeing us through the hard times. It is a time that we don’t struggle for anything. We become glad and happy because it is well with us. Joseph went through lots of tribulations, trials, tests, and temptations to prepare him for the future. When the time came for God to glorify him, He made him the prime minister of Egypt (Genesis 41:40-41).

Beloved brethren, are you going through tough times in the Lord? If so, just go through with all patience. Continue to hope, apply our faith, and love Jesus Christ for the good work He is doing in our life, and very soon He will see us through the hard times. Then we will graduate to our time of fruitfulness and enjoyment. Brethren, the secret to going through the tough times is rejoicing and praising God (Philippians 4:4). Never complain or murmur because it will only make our situation worse, and we become ungrateful to God. However, if we rejoice and praise God in the difficult times, a miraculous atmosphere is created for us, to press on till we embrace our reward.

In essence, the opening Scriptures is simply emphasizing that those who fear God and walk in His ways will experience tremendous blessings, happiness within, and sense of contentment that can't be found elsewhere.

Let's Us Pray,

Our ever faithful and loving Father, we praise and thank You Lord for Your very reassuring Word. Please fill our mouths and hearts with Your praise so that we can continually praise You and rejoice in You, especially in tough times till we embrace our reward. All these we ask in the most mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ our Redeemer, Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏👏👏👏

Today's Sunday 19.01.25 Morning Prayer

Let Us Pray

Father, as the brightness of a new day has come to us, we wait before You to get Your blessing. We desire to make this a new beginning of life. We would forget the things that are past. We would forget . . .
our past mistakes and sins,
our past sorrows, and
our past battles and struggles.

We begin this new week, asking for grace to live a new life that shall honor You, and bless the world.

As we go forth to our day's tasks, we ask for Your special presence with us. We plead Your promises. You have said, "As your days — so shall your strength be!" You have said, "Lo I am with you always — even unto the end of the world!" We wait for the fulfillment of these promises. We need Your guidance and help at every step. We are weak — but You can make us strong to endure. May You empower us with Your Spirit, that we may carry something of the love of Jesus to those whom we shall meet. We desire to live in the world, as those who belong to Heaven, carrying Heaven's love in our hearts, and Heaven's brightness in our faces.

Conscious of our weakness, we cast our lives with all their burdens of infirmity, upon You — and ask You to keep us. May You watch over each one of us and bring us all together again in the evening, if it be Your will. But if our circle should be broken, if any of us should be taken away from earth — receive us into the Father's house, to go no more out forever!

We pray for those with whom life will go hard today — for the poor, the sick, the tempted, those in sorrow's darkness. Manifest Yourself to them in tender love.

Hear us in these our morning prayers. Keep us from all evil. Help us to faithfully do every duty. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name we pray Amen. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏👏👏👏👏👏

Sunday Reflection

Choose Life

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NKJV

[19] I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; [20] that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

On the day that each one us takes our last breath on this Earth and wakes up in Eternity, either to a home forever with The Savior, or a home forever with Satan, know that it was because of the choices we made by our free will.

We can choose life everlasting with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ or death apart from God, by choosing to serve unrighteousness and Satan. The choice is ours to make.

Friend, please choose life this day! Choose Jesus Christ!

Romans 10:8-11 NKJV
[8] But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): [9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

Mark 16:15-16 NKJV
[15] And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

Acts 2:37-39 NKJV
[37] Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” [38] Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. [39] For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

Prayer: Lord, let something be said this day that will turn a soul from everlasting death, unto everlasting life, in Jesus name we pray, Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏👏👏👏👏

SATURDAY 18.01.25 MORNING PRAYER

Let Us Pray

Our Heavenly Father, We come to You today on this peaceful Saturday morning, seeking Your protection and safety. As We begin this new day, We ask that You cover Us with Your feathers, shielding Us from the storms of life and keeping Us secure in Your loving care.

Be Our refuge in times of uncertainty, Our rock, and Our salvation. Help Us to trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are always with Us, guiding and directing Our path.

May Your presence be Our peace, Our comfort, and Our strength. Help Us to find rest in
Your shadow, knowing that You are Our protector and Our defender.

As We go about Our day, may Your angels watch over Us, keeping Us safe from harm and danger. May Your grace and mercy surround Us, and may Your love be Our constant companion.

We pray for Your protection and safety not just for Ourselves, but for Our loved ones, Our community, and believers all over the world. May Your peace and justice reign supreme, and may Your love be the guiding force in all we do.

Thank You, dear Lord, for Your unwavering protection and care. In Jesus name Amen.” 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏👏👏👏👏👏

Today's 18.01.25 Reflection

COME AND SEE... AND STAY

1. Today's gospel narrative (John 1:39-42) is about the encounter between Jesus and two former disciples of John the Baptist. When John saw Jesus passing by, he pointed towards Him as he told his two disciples standing with him, "Look, the Lamb of God." The two heard what he said and followed Jesus.

Self-Examen: Do our words and actions lead others towards Jesus or away from Jesus? How?

2. When Jesus turned and saw the two disciples following Him, He asked them, "What are you looking for?" He turning and asking, Jesus showed His interest in the two and wanted to start a conversation. Wonderfully they said, "Teacher, where are You staying?" The feeling was mutual - the two were also interested with Jesus and so conversed with Him. That is prayer. This led them to know Jesus more as they said "Yes" to His invitation. "Come and see." They did come and see... and stayed in the company of Jesus.

Self-Examen: How often and how deeply do we pray? Do we pray simply and sincerely to become more and more fully friends of Jesus or are we only after the "friend's benefits" or the blessings we are looking for? Do we remain in the company of Jesus and continue to pray after we receive what we pray for or do so even when we feel we are not getting anything?

3. After their deep encounter with Jesus, one of the two disciples, Andrew, shared to his brother Simon their experience, and then brought him to Jesus.

Self-Examen: Do we share our faith-experiences with others so as to bring them to Jesus? Do we help people come to faith and friendship with Jesus or do we hinder them from doing so?

Let us pray

"Live, Jesus, in our hearts and reign over our lives. Help us to leave behind anyone or anything that prevents us from growing in our faith and friendship with You. May our words, actions and lifestyle serve to lead others towards You. To God be the glory forever. Amen." 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏👏👏👏

Again, the prophency of His star was mentioned by Baalam, prophet Baalam prophesied about the beautiful great star of Jesus Christ,"I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a star out of Jacob, a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel", Numbers 24:17, glory to God! what a birth that gave birth to other births.
Above all, Prophet Isaiah stated the kind of person He will be and announced Him as King of Kings and the Governments also shall be upon His shoulder, even His kingdom has no end, hallelujah, Isaiah 9:6-7.
