Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

In essence, it's encouraging perseverance and patience in doing good deeds and following one's faith. It reminds believers not to lose heart or become discouraged, even when they don't see immediate results, because their efforts will be rewarded in due time.

Paul said that in Galatians 6:9 likely because the Galatian church was facing challenges and persecution. He wanted to encourage them to:

1. Stay committed to their faith despite difficulties.

2. Continue doing good and serving others, even when faced with opposition or uncertainty.

3. Trust God's timing and promises, knowing that their efforts wouldn't be in vain.

Paul's message was meant to boost their morale, encourage perseverance, and remind them that their labor of love and faith would ultimately yield a positive outcome.

The life application of Galatians 6:9 can be applied in various ways:

1. Perseverance*: When working towards a goal, don't give up, even if progress is slow. Keep pushing forward.

2. Continue doing good and serving others, even if you don't see immediate recognition or rewards.

3. Faith and trust*: Trust that your efforts will yield results, even if you can't see them right now.

4. Overcoming burnout*: Stay motivated and focused, knowing that your hard work will pay off in the long run.

*Text: Jeremiah 17:12-17*

17:12 A glorious throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary.

17:13 LORD, you are the hope of Israel; all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living water.

17:14 Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.

17:15 They keep saying to me, "Where is the word of the LORD? Let it now be fulfilled!"

17:16 I have not run away from being your shepherd; you know I have not desired the day of despair. What passes my lips is open before you.

17:17 Do not be a terror to me; you are my refuge in the day of disaster.

__________

A doctor examined a patient who complained of not feeling well, then he gave him three different bottles containing green, blue and red pills and prescribed it should be taken with a lot of water. Startled to be put on so much medicines, the man stammered, "Doctor, exactly what is my problem?" The doctor replied, "You're not drinking enough water!"

In Jeremiah's time, Israel forsook the spring of living water and fell sick. The people had the "disease" of sin and needed spiritual healing. Jeremiah did not exonerate himself, rather, he asked for healing from sin that only God can provide. He asked for deliverance from disaster that only God can give. Jeremiah stated that the Lord alone is the hope of Israel, and all who forsake His dwelling will be in despair and see destruction. God's invisible and constant presence was with His people and He knew all that was going

The concept of hope in today's text involves, confident expectation of deliverance, because of the c
