KALUMBILA TOWN COUNCIL COMMENCES ROAD WORKS

Kalumbila Town Council has commenced road rehabilitation works in various parts of the district as part of ongoing efforts to improve road connectivity and enhance service delivery in line with the Presidential directive on infrastructure development.
The works follow resolutions made during the management meeting held on 26th May 2026 where management resolved to accelerate road infrastructure projects across the district.
The programme has commenced with Shilenda and Kalengelenge roads under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) while township roads in Manyama are being undertaken under the Road Fund.
The second phase of the works will cover Mangala, Kambishi and Mafwe roads under CDF funding in addition to Kisasa Township roads under the Road Fund.
Works officially commenced today in Shilenda where one kilometre of road was worked on following the mobilisation of key machinery, comprising of a grader, bulldozer, compactor and water bowser.
Kalumbila Town Council remains committed to improving road infrastructure in order to facilitate movement, support economic activities and improve the welfare of communities across the district.
