Chainama Seventh-day Adventist Church Builds Strategic Linkages for Christ at the 98th Agricultural and Commercial Show
While Zambians gathered to foster trade, investment, innovation, and economic growth at the 98th Agricultural and Commercial Show, Chainama Seventh-day Adventist Church took the opportunity to build strategic linkages for Christ at the Lusaka Showgrounds.
Held from 29 July to 3 August 2026, the annual show attracted thousands of exhibitors and visitors from across the country, creating a unique platform for the Church to share hope and God’s love with people from diverse backgrounds. Through its participation, the Church sought to fulfil its mission of proactively, holistically, and spiritually engaging communities through evangelism, prayer ministry, and literature outreach.
Throughout the six-day event, church members interacted with exhibitors, business professionals, families, and showgoers, offering words of encouragement, spiritual counselling, and prayers. The Church's stand became a place where visitors could pause from the busy atmosphere of the show and receive spiritual support and inspiration.
As part of its outreach efforts, the Church freely distributed six copies of Steps to Christ, 238 copies of Words of Hope, and 130 copies of The Great Controversy. In addition, several other inspirational and faith-based books were sold, enabling more people to access literature designed to strengthen their spiritual journey and deepen their understanding of God's Word.
Despite the noise and crowds, the approximately five people received special prayers for their families, health, careers, businesses, and personal challenges. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be prayed for and being encouraged by the Church during the event.
Reflecting on the outreach, we acknowledge the valuable lessons learned and the opportunities for future growth. Going forward, the Church plans to begin preparations much earlier to secure a more strategic and busier exhibition space, expand its literature distribution, and strengthen its engagement with show attendees. These improvements will help the Church reach even more people with the message of hope, faith, and salvation at future shows.
By participating in the Agricultural and Commercial Show, Chainama Seventh-day Adventist Church demonstrated that evangelism can take place beyond the walls of the church, meeting people where they are and sharing Christ's love in practical and meaningful ways.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...” (Matthew 28:19). Through initiatives such as this, Chainama Seventh-day Adventist Church remains committed to advancing Christ's mission and being a positive spiritual influence in the community.
