🎤 ZIM-CBU Secures 4th Place at the 2025 CBU Debate Society Freshmen Debate 🏆

On February 15th, I had the honor of representing the Zambia Institute of Marketing - CBU Chapter alongside my amazing team at the 2025 CBU Debate Society Freshmen Debate 🎓🔥.

In the first round, we faced ZIBFS on the motion:
💡 "This House believes that interest-free student loans are essential to alleviating Zambia's graduate debt crisis and unlocking economic potential."
As the second speaker on the opposing side, I presented arguments on the Time Value of Money ⏳, Economic Burden 💰, and Sustainability 🌍. Our team secured victory and advanced to the semi-finals!

In the semi-finals, we debated CULA on the motion:
💬 "This House believes that the withdrawal of USAID funding will ultimately benefit Zambia and other affected countries."
As the Government Whip, I emphasized reducing external influence 🌍❌, strengthening governance and accountability 🏛️✅, promoting local investment 💼, and encouraging economic independence 🇿🇲💪.

Despite a strong performance, we were eliminated, securing 4th place in the competition 🏅.

This experience was truly enriching, and I am incredibly grateful to my team members and the ZIM-CBU Chapter for their dedication and support 🙌. Looking forward to even greater achievements ahead! 🚀
