A member of Bread Of Life Church International Wrote…
Why should Bread of Life charge us for entering Church?
I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the Bread of Life Church International. As a member of this church, I am concerned that, the church is still charging a fee to attend the end of year crossover service.
It seems this has become the new norm as it has been going on for the past recent years' end of year crossover services. The only difference this year is that they are only announcing the charges in church and not on posters or adverts.
I believe it is deeply unfair and goes against the values of any legitimate religious institution to place financial burdens on its members, particularly those who are struggling to make ends meet.
Charging a fee (K50) for the crossover night is concerning as it seems to prioritize financial gain over the spiritual well-being of the church's members. Imagine a struggling family of six needing to pay K300 to just attend church on 31st December, 2022?
Is the word of God now for sale? While some arguments about it being a concert could be true but 31st December is a very important day for members to reflect in their church and preventing them from doing so by charging them is very unfair.
I urge religious regulating bodies to investigate this matter and intervene. It is important that the leadership of the Bread of Life Church International is held accountable for their actions and that measures are taken to ensure that such behavior is not tolerated.
