ZAMBIAN CELEBRITY RECOGNITION 🇿🇲
K-Star, born Daniel Sikazwe Lyapa, is a talented rapper, comedian, and poet from Zambia. Born in Lusaka and raised in Ndola on the Copperbelt, K-Star's passion for hip-hop ignited in 2001, and he began rapping seriously in 2005. He gained recognition after competing in the Hip-Hop Burn Out competition at The Cage, where he made it to the top three and was subsequently signed to Xpozd Records.

Under Xpozd, K-Star formed the group Xpozd Natives with fellow rappers Camstar and The Dyplomat, although the group later disbanded in 2007. In 2008, K-Star joined the rap group 2wo-1ne, alongside original members Buttah, Thug Chuld, and Nova Caine. The group recorded a mixtape titled "Berg City on Lock" with Krytic and Young Thug, and later worked with Superman, who founded the label SO GOOD ENTERTAINMENT.

K-Star's career took a new turn when he teamed up with Kapembwa Wanjelani, forming the comedy and poetry duo Mkushi Accents, also known as Tilowa. Together, they have worked on various stand-up comedy projects, event hosting, and promoting poetry under BitterSweet Zambia. K-Star is also a brand ambassador for Tilowa and Stronger Together, and is managed by Fatima and Kapembwa. He is the mastermind behind Tiflowa Tuesday, and his hit song "Vitumbuwa" with Krytic remains one of his most notable works. With his unique blend of hip-hop, comedy, and poetry, K-Star continues to entertain and inspire audiences in Zambia and beyond.
