What's your take on the Line up especially Stopilla Sunzu

COINCIDENCE: Stophilla Sunzu Is No Longer At His 2012 AfCON Best

No doubt. Stophilla Sunzu delivered our AfCON icing in 2012 with that sudden death penalty kick. He was 22.

Today, he is 33 and has had a long term knee injury. Information obtained indicate he had surgery not too long ago.

So, why has Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant summoned him for the June 17 match against Ivory Coast?

Coincidentally, both Grant and Sunzu are listed as Nir Karin’s clients. The Isreali is their agent.

Let’s hope this is not the reason Sunzu has been recalled.

If we are focusing on the 2026 World Cup with the qualifiers starting in November, Sunzu is not a player for that campaign.

Between now and 2026, we are best placed having Sunzu in Exhibition Matches, not competitive qualifiers.
