Michelle Zinhle Banda, affectionately known as StarMichy, is the ultimate hip hop enthusiast, a promoter, musician,artist manager and ardent fan of the genre. Her name has become synonymous with the hip hop movements in Bulawayo.

As a promoter, StarMichy possesses a knack for curating hip hop events that leave audiences craving more. Beyond that role, Michy's own musical artistry reflects her unwavering passion for the culture. Her commitment to the craft shines through in every performance, captivating listeners and earning her a devoted following.

StarMichy has collaborated with some of the biggest MCs and rappers in the city, including J Dumza, Asaph, and Vic Jita . In addition, she manages artists like Rockie DoUb and KBrizzy, while also nurturing rising sensations like Fuel, Ctl, and Oxzy. Her focused approach has led to the successful ex*****on of several hip hop-centric campaigns, including her role as a co-founder of the Annual August Rush in 2022. Currently, StarMichy continues to shine a spotlight on local talent through the ongoing movement , showcasing emerging artists in collaboration with the Stop over bar.

Her legacy is constantly shaped by the artists she supports and promotes. StarMichy’s indelible mark on the Bulawayo hip hop scene will forever be remembered.
