Celebrating an outstanding group of Zimbabwean women whose exceptional leadership, unwavering patriotism, and dedicated service to our nation continue to inspire excellence.
Under the Second Republic, we are intentionally transforming the culture of governance from one focused merely on process to one driven by performance, accountability, and recognition of excellence.
Today’s award recipients — pioneers and innovators in Tourism, Health, Education, Philanthropy, Social Welfare, Finance, and Governance — are a true reflection of this transformation. Their achievements demonstrate the power of vision, hard work, and commitment to national development.
This occasion is about more than awards; it is a celebration of resilience, courage, compassion, and sacrifice. Women remain at the centre of sustainable development, driving innovative solutions and uplifting communities across the country. Their contribution to nation-building must always be valued and appreciated.
I also commend First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa and the Angel of Hope Foundation for their remarkable humanitarian efforts, particularly their impactful drug rehabilitation programmes that continue to restore hope, dignity, and purpose among our youth.
Special recognition also goes to trailblazers such as Hon. Oppah Muchinguri, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi, and Chief Justice Elizabeth Gwaunza, who have broken barriers and paved the way for future generations in fields traditionally dominated by men.
To all women across Zimbabwe: remain steadfast, continue leading with integrity, and keep inspiring generations to come. Your strength, determination, and vision are shaping the future of our nation.
Excellence deserves recognition. Impact deserves reward. Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo.
