Marabini releases 11th ALBUM
Part2
Not just all encompassing but it also affords the young ones opportunity to learn from the maestro and for the latter to pass on that music heritage to the upcoming next generation.
Jeys expressed how this album surpasses his previous work, remarking how he holds his audiences dear and always endeavors to give them something they will love and appreciate.
He made mention of the importance of creating music that is timeless, and not create what has come to be known as bubble gum music, saying that 50 years on his music will still be relevant, going to show the amount of hardwork he always puts in.
That really hit home, as today's artists don't really put passion and commitment into their work, and the sprouting of backyard studios has also been a menace.
The new album has received positive reviews and feedback from both the audience and the media, with some of the tracks already topping the charts on radio.
Radio remains a key medium for Zimbabwe and Africa especially for music in reaching the most remote of areas.
The mood in Bulawayo has really been buzzing he said, with people making contact with him expressing their approval and endorsement.
Bulawayo is absolute royalty with the reception that Jeys' album has received
no doubt.
He expressed delight at how radio has also been supportive with a number of Djs jostling to play tracks on the album whenever they are behind the mike.
For his legion of fans who can't wait to get a feel of the Album, Jeys will be going on a nationwide tour starting obviously with the 2 capitals Bulawayo and Harare.
He also mentioned how unique his sound is, that you can quickly tell that this is Jeys Marabini just by sound of the guitar.
Just as many before him the late Fanya Dube, the late Oliver Mtukudzi and Lovemore who had their trademark sounds, he also has his own.
