A 40 year old Detective stationed at Malmesbury SAPS has been arrested for allegedly ra**ng a 41 year old woman in the police cells.

The complainant alleges that the accused officer picked her up from her home on 25 December 2024, for an alleged theft case.

The complaint further alleges that at the police station the accused officer told her that she was picked up by mistake but encouraged her to drink alcohol with him.

When she refused, he allegedly took off his clothes, laid on the cell mattress and pretended to be asleep. As she tried to leave, the accused officer grabbed her from behind, choked her, tore her clothes and r***d her.

After the ordeal, the officer allegedly dropped her off in town.

A r**e case has been opened and medical reports have also been obtained. The victim’s torn clothes were also handed over as evidence.

The accused officer is detained at the Riebeek SAPS and is expected to appear in court on Monday, 30 December 2024.

A 43 year old Zimbabwean national was severely assaulted after allegations of s*xual assault against his 14-year-old daughter surfaced today (Thursday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to Zwelisha – KZN after the teenager confirmed allegations of s*xual assault while being interviewed by her mother. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a crowd of approximately 60 people beating a man with wooden planks, stones and their fists.

The teenager’s mother informed Reaction Officers that she and her husband are separated. She decided to question her daughter this morning after she noticed behavioural changes.

During the interview her daughter alleged that she was being s*xually assaulted by her father from the age of six (6). She further alleged that over the past nine (9) years, her dad would undress in her presence and force her to perform oral s*x on him.

Her mother rallied support from the community and proceeded to her ex-husband’s home a short distance away. The man was dragged out of his house and beaten by the angry mob. Her husband confirmed the allegations.

Reaction Officers are awaiting (12:17) the arrival of the Inanda SAPS.

The Pretoria high court has sentenced three illegal Zimbabwean nationals to two life terms each for two counts of murder.Edison Ngamiko, 38, Amos Hassan Masiya, 38, and Edron Panashe Chisanako, 39, received additional sentences of 10 years for attempted murder and 12 months for being in the country illegally.The men were approached by three teenage girls to purchase alcohol.The charges arose from a tragic incident that occurred on February 17 2023 when the three men were approached by three girls aged 15, 16, and 23 at Mashanganeng Tavern in Olievenhoutbosch. The girls requested money from the trio to purchase alcohol, and the men initially provided them with R40.When the girls asked for an additional R20 to pay a male companion who was going to accompany them home, the accused complied,Later that night Chisanako demanded s*xual favours from the 15-year-old girl.When the girl refused and the 16-year-old reprimanded him, Chisanako shot the 16-year-old in the neck, resulting in her immediate collapse. He then shot the other two girls many times, leading to their deaths at the scene. A shot fired during the chaos hit Ngamiko. Realising the 16-year-old was alive, Ngamiko attempted to finish the job, but the firearm had run out of bullets. The three fled the scene.The surviving victim crawled home and reported what had happened. Police discovered the bodies of the deceased girls after patrolling the area that night.Ngamiko was arrested on February 20 2023, while receiving treatment for his gunshot wound.Masiya was arrested on October 9 2023 on unrelated charges but was later linked to the murder. Chisanako was apprehended the next day

A Zimbabwean man based in the United Kingdom, Tanaka Zivanai, 32, has admitted to the murder of 28-year-old Zanele Sibanda in Gloucester earlier this year. Police were called to the junction of Paul Street and Tarrington Road in Tredworth at around 1:45 AM on August 27, following reports of a man attacking a woman.
Zivanai stabbed Zanele multiple times, and despite emergency services’ efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was arrested and charged with her murder the day after the incident, following an investigation by the Major Crime Investigation Team.
Zivanai has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on January 14, 2025.

A 20-year-old man from Gabara village under chief in Beitbridge has been jailed for an effective 15 years for s*xually abusing his neighbour's three-year-old daughter.
Goodman Zhou is accused of having taken advantage and took the complainant to his homestead after finding her father sleeping.October 16, at around 1pm the complainant's mother left her in the company of her husband (who was asleep) and two brothers playing in the yard as she went to a local grinding mill.
The accused later arrived and took the complainant and another brother to his homestead.
At his homestead he gave his brother some money and sent him to buy a few items at the nearby tuck-shop.
He then took advantage and r***d the girl once after smearing her ge****ls with Vaseline. Zhou was caught in the act by the victim's brother and threatened both of them not to tell anyone about the incident.
After which he released them to go to their homestead.

IN a sad incident of domestic violence, a 24-year-old Kwekwe woman has been arrested for striking her husband with a pot on the head before repeatedly assaulting him with a burning log resulting in his death.The incident occurred at Makande village in Silobela, last week.The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the unfortunate event, which resulted in the arrest of Liona Mbulawa for murder.Police in Kwekwe arrested Liona Mbulawa (24) in connection with a case of murder which occurred at Makande village, Chief Malisa, Silobela on November 27, 2024 in which her husband Brighton Dube (29) died.

ACCIDENT ALERT | THREE PEOPLE DIED IN A HORRIFIC CAR CRASH.

Three African men instantly died on a scene after their car ran under a stationery truck in a Deerpark road towards Ga- Mahloma, just outside Tzaneen town.

According to the onlookers the three men who were driving in a white Toyota Corolla sedan towards Ga Mahloma , were speeding and failed to apply brakes towards a stationery truck which was in the middle of the road.

Two Zimbabwean nationals have been sentenced to life in prison for their involvement in a series of violent crimes.
26 August 2020, the first victim was accosted by a group of men while praying on the R80 Mabopane highway.He was robbed of his cellphone and bank cards. Subsequently, on 12 September 2020, the second victim, along with his wife and children, stopped at the same highway and was approached by the same group.They were taken to a nearby mountain where tragedy struck. Singage, while forcefully taking the wife deeper into the mountain, shot and killed her. Miraculously, the husband managed to escape and promptly reported the incident to the police.She said following a thorough investigation, the two suspects Norest Singage (34) and Rodwin Maphinde (34) were apprehended on 24 October 2020 in Marabastard, where Singage was employed as a vendor.Throughout the trial, Singage and Maphinde pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them, denying all involvement. However, the State, led by Prosecutor Lebogang Mokome, successfully proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.

Thulani Matsane, 33, was living with his 64-year-old mother Thembi Ngwenya in her homestead in Mganduzweni in the district of Nsikazi.Matsane accused his mother of witchcraft and used a hand hoe to strike his mother from behind on December 14 2022. When Ngwenya ran out of the house crying for help, Matsane chased her and continued assaulting her until she collapsed.
He then dragged her into her bedroom, placed her on the bed and set the bed alight before wiping the blood stains on the floor.
